San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (knee) recently underwent surgery for a torn meniscus, according to sources Tuesday, May 25. He's expected to be sidelined for 4-6 months and miss the beginning of the 2021 NFL season.
Huddle Up: RB Raheem Mostert is the projected Week 1 start for San Francisco but the fantasy stocks of Trey Sermon and Elijah Mitchell also rise in deeper leagues. Both will be worth drafting as handcuffs for Mostert and also in hopes they get a share of the passing-game work.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. signed a one-year contract Tuesday, Jan. 26, but financial terms weren't disclosed. He was scheduled to be a restricted free agent at the end of the league year.
Huddle Up: Wilson totaled 733 yards from scrimmage and 10 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns in 12 games while making three starts in the 2020 season. He could be an RB2 or 3 option in 2021 fantasy drafts depending on how many others return to the 49ers' backfield.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. rushed for 183 yards on 22 carries against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. He also caught one pass for 21 yards and one touchdown during the game.
Huddle Up: Wilson was most of the offense for the 49ers this week against the Cardinals. He should receive most of the work again next week and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. rushed 11 times for 31 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Washington Football Team and he added a 13-yard catch.
Huddle Up: Wilson visited the end zone for the first time since his three-touchdown outburst in New England on Oct. 25, a span of three games and one month-long absence due to a high-ankle sprain. He split the carries with Raheem Mostert, and that will likely continue into Week 15 against the Dallas Cowboys.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. rushed seven times for 47 yards in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills and he added two receptions for 12 yards on five targets.
Huddle Up: Wilson had nine total touches and 59 scrimmage yards, while Raheem Mostert had 10 total touches, including nine runs for 42 yards. In other words, Wilson and Mostert split the backfield touches, with Tevin Coleman also seeing two carries while going backwards. Fantasy owners never want to see a timeshare, as it's maddening. The 49ers will face the Washington Football Team in Week 14.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. had 12 rushes for 43 yards against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Nov. 29. He also lost a fumble.
Huddle Up: Wilson ran 12 times to Mostert's 16, as that duo did most of the heavy lifting in the ground game. While Mostert continues to be the top back in San Francisco, Wilson could hold flex appeal, at least until Tevin Coleman returns.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Nov. 28.
Huddle Up: Raheem Mostert was also activated and they'll join pass-catching back Jerick McKinnon in the suddenly flush Niners backfield. Wilson won't be a starting option when Mostert is active.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 30, and has been ruled out for Week 8.
Huddle Up: Wilson is expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list and will miss several weeks. Jerick McKinnon, JaMycal Hasty and Tevin Coleman could all see playing time during the Week 8 game and will be risky options for fantasy players.
