Denver Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins (undisclosed) is dealing with a soft tissue injury but is expected to be fine moving forward, according to head coach Sean Payton.
Huddle Up: Dobbins may be sidelined for a few days, but it appears like he will be ready for the start of the regular season. He will probably receive a majority of the snaps at running back this season and can be at least a No. 3 running back in fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins vowed to play all 17 games this season. "There won't be any injuries," Dobbins said. "I'll be there for all 17 games, I pinky promise all of you right now."
Huddle Up: Dobbins has averaged 5.2 yards per carry over his career, but injuries have been a yearly occurrence. Dobbins may want to play every game, but history says that probably isn't happening. He is a legitimate RB2 when healthy, but it is safer to draft him as a RB3 with the expectation he will miss time.

Denver Broncos RB Jonah Coleman reportedly looked ready for instant snaps in OTAs and minicamp this summer, and could spell J.K. Dobbins for short-yardage touches in the early going and pick up plenty of slack if anyone in the room misses time, in the opinion of The Denver Post's Luca Evans on Tuesday, July 14.
Huddle Up: Coleman, the Broncos' fourth-round rookie draft pick, looks to angle for touches in a highly voluminous Denver backfield with RJ Harvey and J.K Dobbins entrenched ahead of him. Training camp utilization and preseason touches should give us a clear view of how the pecking order will shape up for the Broncos' running back room in 2026. Coleman is draftable as a late-round stash in fantasy football to see if anything meaningful develops in Week 1 and beyond.

Denver Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins was close to a contract agreement with the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason before deciding to re-sign with the Broncos, according to a source.
Huddle Up: The Jaguars were looking to add a running back this offseason and were able to add Chris Rodriguez Jr. after missing on Dobbins. Rodriguez will share playing time with Bhayshul Tuten this upcoming season and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 back in fantasy leagues.

Denver Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins is "fully healthy," according to Broncos GM George Paton and could have played if the Broncos made the Super Bowl, reports Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette on Tuesday, March 31.
Huddle Up: From Week 1-10, Dobbins was RB18 in PPR scoring before his 2025 season was cut short with a Lisfranc injury. When healthy, Dobbins is an RB2 or RB3 fantasy option, even when splitting carries with R.J. Harvey. Dobbins rushed for 1,677 yards and 13 touchdowns on 4.8 yards per carry in 23 games over the last two seasons.

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Broncos on Monday, March 9, worth $20 million, including $8 million guaranteed at signing.
Huddle Up: From Weeks 1-10, Dobbins was the RB18 in PPR scoring before his 2025 season was cut short with a Lisfranc injury. The Broncos obviously saw enough and rewarded Dobbins with a two-year deal to operate in tandem with R.J. Harvey in the Denver backfield. For fantasy purposes, Dobbins should get enough work to be a low-end RB2 for fantasy rosters.

Denver Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins agreed to a new two-year contract with the Broncos Monday, March 9, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Dobbins played well for the Broncos this past season before the injury and should see a majority of the snaps again in 2026. He can be a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues and should be a weekly starting option.

Denver Broncos impending free-agent RB J.K. Dobbins led the Broncos with 21 carries of 10-plus yards in 2025, and Denver averaged 4.9 yards per carry when Dobbins was on the field compared to 3.9 yards per carry when he was off the field.
Huddle Up: As has often been the case with Dobbins, he missed multiple games due to injury but was effective when he was able to suit up. If he does remain in Denver in 2026, he will share the backfield with RJ Harvey, but Dobbins should still be a flex candidate or RB3.
