Baltimore Ravens RBs J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) are 'making progress' but are expected to begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to head coach John Harbaugh.
Huddle Up: Harbaugh noted that he intends to "play it safe" with Dobbins and Edwards, likely doing what he can to avoid a repeat of last year's rash of preseason injuries. Each back should be expected to begin the regular season on time as both players suffered their torn ACLs weeks before the 2021 season started. As of right now, it appears Baltimore is comfortable going into camp with Ty'Son Williams as the only truly healthy running back on the roster.

The Baltimore Ravens fear that RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) may have sustained a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the team's preseason game against the Washington Football Team Saturday, Aug. 28, based on the early diagnosis, according to multiple sources. He will undergo an MRI exam Sunday, Aug. 29, to determine the extent of the injury.
Huddle Up: If the early diagnosis turns out to be accurate, Dobbins' 2021 season would be over before it got started. Gus Edwards is the heavy favorite to serve as Baltimore's lead running back and should be viewed as an RB2 option in fantasy leagues.
