Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries against the New York Giants in Week 13. He also caught three passes for 11 yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Dowdle picked up his first 100-yard game of the season but has posted at least 75 rushing yards in three of the last five games. He is the clear No. 1 running back for the Cowboys and can be at least a flex option in all fantasy leagues.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle ran 19 times for 86 yards in Week 12 against the Washington Commanders, while adding three receptions for 12 yards on three targets.
Huddle Up: Dowdle had a tremendous rushing total, although fantasy managers in leagues rewarding 100 or more total scrimmage yards were left wonting. He has emerged as a decent low-end RB2 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 13 against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle registered 10 carries for a team-high 28 yards in Week 11 against the Houston Texans, and he added two receptions for six yards on five targets.
Huddle Up: The game got out of hand in the second half, and the team had more of a pass-heavy game plan the rest of the way. Dowdle remains more of a RB3 or flex fantasy play in leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 12 in Washington.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle is "the lead back," according to head coach Mike McCarthy. Per McCarthy, it will be his "focus to continue to get (Dowdle) opportunities" for the rest of the season.
Huddle Up: While this is a great thing for Dowdle's fantasy stock in theory, it comes on an offense that is a shell of its former self. The offensive line is struggling and Dak Prescott will not be around to make defenses pay for crowding the line of scrimmage. Fantasy managers should expect to see a lot of empty-calorie 15-touch games from Dowdle in the near future, starting in Week 11 against a hard-nosed Houston Texans run defense. Do not expect Dowdle to be much more than a low-end RB2 the rest of the way.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle rushed 12 times for 53 yards and caught three passes for three yards in a 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.
Huddle Up: Dowdle has logged at least 15 touches in three of the last four games, and he has topped 100 yards from scrimmage twice in that span. His production will likely slip a bit with Dak Prescott sidelined, but Dowdle will still have some flex potential with his current workload.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle registered 12 runs for 75 yards in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons, while adding five receptions for 32 yards with a juggling touchdown on six targets.
Huddle Up: Dowdle was the top back with Ezekiel Elliott not even making the trip due to disciplinary reasons. He was also well ahead of Dalvin Cook for touches, totaling 17 to just two. Dowdle showed he can be a solid RB3 or flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams. He and the Cowboys will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle (illness) became sick upon arriving at the stadium for the Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers, and he has been ruled inactive.
Huddle Up: With Dowdle down, Dalvin Cook is active, and he will pair with veteran Ezekiel Elliiott and Deuce Vaughn in the backfield, with Zeke likely seeing a lion's share of the totes.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle "definitely needs more touches," according to comments made by head coach Mike McCarthy on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Huddle Up: McCarthy is seemingly doubling down on something he said a couple of weeks ago. However, it is worth wondering why Dowdle only saw two more touches (10-8) than Ezekiel Elliott in Week 6 after the former handled 22 touches in the team's Week 5 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. While this is good news for Dowdle in theory, the Cowboys' offensive line is no longer what it once was, so the 26-year-old may struggle to be anything more than a low-end RB2 in fantasy even if Elliott becomes nothing more than a true backup.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle rushed five times for 25 yards and caught five passes for 30 yards in a 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 6.
Huddle Up: The Cowboys didn't run much after failing behind early in the game, but Dowdle showed he can make an impact as a receiver. He the best back the Cowboys have right now, but he is a flex option, at best, for fantasy purposes.

Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle ran for 87 yards on 20 carries and caught both of his targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Huddle Up: Ezekiel Elliott managed only six touches. Dowdle's fantasy effort was very close to the same one Jonathan Taylor turned in against the Steelers last week. All told, it is an impressive showing against a good defense and one that will likely lead to more heavy workloads down the road. Unfortunately, Dowdle is a poor bet to replicate his production from this game in Week 6 against a Detroit Lions defense that boasts arguably the best run defense in the league. Consider Dowdle a middling RB2 option at best in that contest before the Cowboys go on a bye in Week 7.
