Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Ryan is in the team's long-term plans, owner Jim Irsay said. ''We hope Matt can be here for four years, maybe,'' Irsay said. ''We certainly have our radar out for a young guy that can be the long-term future.''
Huddle Up: The Colts hoped for the same out of Carson Wentz. Color us skeptical that Ryan will last another four years. He'll be 37 in May and is coming off arguably his worst season since 2017. Until the Colts put better weapons around him in the passing game, Ryan is a midrange QB2.

Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Ryan converted $12 million of his base salary into a signing bonus to free up $6 million in salary cap space Thursday, March 24. His cap number drops to $18,705,882.
Huddle Up: Ryan is a low-end QB1 with some upside to sneak into the midrange if they can shore up the receiving corps a little bit.

Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Ryan's $7.5 million roster bonus was exercised, and guarantees were added to his deal that has nearly $54 million left over two years.
Huddle Up: It won't receive a lot of fanfare, but this was probably the best place Ryan could have landed. He's behind a great offensive line and has fantasy MVP Jonathan Taylor behind him. Ryan is a low-end QB1 that has the potential to be an every-week starter.

Updating a previous report, Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan was traded to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2023 third-round draft pick (No. 82 overall) Monday, March 21.
Huddle Up: Although Ryan is set to turn 37 in May, Ryan should give the Colts more stability than they have had at the position since Andrew Luck retired just before the start of the 2019 season. In Indianapolis, Ryan will have the support of the best offensive line and rushing attack he has had since his 2016 MVP season. His arrival virtually guarantees Atlanta will take a quarterback in the first round next month. For the Colts, Ryan's arrival should lock him into solid fantasy QB2 value and means Michael Pittman Jr. should perform at a WR2 level.

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan is reportedly the focus of trade talks with the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, March 21.
Huddle Up: Ryan has a $7.5 million roster bonus due if he is still with the Falcons on Tuesday, thus the rush to get him moved if possible today. There is no question Atlanta is in the middle of a rebuild and Indianapolis believes it is a quarterback away from making a Super Bowl run. Ryan would arguably give the Colts the most stability they have had at the position since Andrew Luck even though he will turn 37 in May. If Indy is able to acquire him, he would remain a steady fantasy QB2 option.

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan will either be traded Monday, March 21, by 4 p.m. EST, or he's due a $7.5 million roster bonus. The team has fielded calls in recent days.
Huddle Up: Ryan could still be a solid QB1 in fantasy, and a change of scenery could enhance his value.

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan's $7.5 million roster bonus that was due Friday, March 18, has been moved to Tuesday, March 22, according to league sources, giving Atlanta four additional days to work a potential trade for Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson and find a trade partner for Ryan if necessary.
Huddle Up: Even if Ryan ends up being moved, he should land a starting gig somewhere in 2022. That being said, he will likely be a midrange QB2 wherever he plays.
