Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers connected on 17 of his 33 passing attempts for 146 yards, zero touchdowns, and an interception in a loss to the Houston Texans on Wild Card Weekend. Rodgers was sacked four times and fumbled twice, losing one. RB Jaylen Warren had 12 carries for 43 yards; he added a four-yard reception. RB Kenneth Gainwell picked up 20 yards on six carries, and he also caught four passes for 26 yards. WR DK Metcalf had two receptions for 42 yards; he was targeted five times. TE Pat Freiermuth had an 18-yard reception for his lone catch, while TE Jonnu Smith turned two receptions into minus-one yard. LB Patrick Queen led the club with 10 tackles, including seven solo. CB Brandin Echols was credited with three stops and had an interception in the loss.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf was removed from the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list on Monday, Jan. 5. Metcalf served a two-game suspension for an altercation with a fan.
Huddle Up: Pittsburgh won a thriller on Sunday night to lift them to a division crown, and now they get Metcalf back from his suspension. They'll need him this Monday night against the Texans, which had the No. 1 defense in the NFL this season. There's two competing storylines here: 1) you're getting a motivated Metcalf that wants to make amends for the suspension, and 2) you're getting an elite defense that will likely focus their attention on Metcalf. Despite Houston's defensive prowess, there's enough upside in Metcalf to use him as a WR3 in DFS leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf did not play in a Week 17 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He was suspended.
Huddle Up: With Metcalf not available, Aaron Rodgers' longest completion to a wide receiver was only 15 yards. He threw for only 168 yards.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf had his two-game suspension appeal denied on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
Huddle Up: Metcalf received the suspension for his altercation with a fan in the Week 16 win over Detroit. With this result, Metcalf will not be available for any team vying for a fantasy championship this week.

Updating previous reports, Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf, who is appealing his two-game suspension, will forfeit $555,556 for the two games. The suspension would also void $45 million in future guaranteed money, according to his contract, which was reviewed by CBS Sports and ESPN.
Huddle Up: Marquez Valdes-Scantling had three targets last week but hauled in one pass for six yards. Most of the increased targets will probably be split amongst tight ends. MVS is a very lukewarm flex candidate against the Cleveland Browns

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf has been suspended for two games by the NFL Monday, Dec. 22, because of an incident with a fan during the Week 16 game. He is planning to appeal the suspension, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling may see bigger roles in the passing game if Metcalf has to miss the last two games of the season. Both receivers can be possible flex option in some deeper leagues. Kenneth Gainwell, Pat Freiermtuh, Darnell Washington and Jonnu Smith could also see boosts to their fantasy value.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf could be fined or suspended by the league after grabbing a fan during the game Sunday, Dec. 21, and appearing to throw a slap or a punch at him.
Huddle Up: Metcalf has been inconsistent, but he's the WR14 over the last five weeks. If he's unavailable, Marquez Valdes-Scantling would be thrust into a bigger role as a potential flex option against the Cleveland Browns.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf ended up with four receptions for 42 yards on nine targets in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions.
Huddle Up: The big story might have been an interaction with a fan during the game, where Metcalf took a swat at the spectator. That will likely receive discipline from the league. For fantasy purposes, it was a down game, but he remains a decent WR3 or flex fantasy option going into Week 17 in Cleveland.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf had three receptions (on three targets) for a team-high 55 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 15.
Huddle Up: Despite setting a season low for targets, Metcalf delivered decent value, catching all three balls and turning them into 55 yards and a score -- his first receiving touchdown since Oct. 26. The passing game has looked much better the past two weeks, and a Week 16 matchup with a beleaguered Lions secondary certainly affords the Steelers an opportunity to keep the momentum going. Metcalf is a solid WR3 right now with some decent upside versus Detroit.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR DK Metcalf (abdomen) was a limited participant in practice Saturday, Dec. 13, and does not appear on the Week 15 injury report.
Huddle Up: Metcalf is coming off season highs in catches, targets and yards in Week 14, and in the process, he snapped a five-game drought where he failed to top 50 receiving yards. While he might not be able to match last week's numbers, Metcalf remains the No. 1 receiving option for the Pittsburgh offense, and he can be a WR3 for fantasy owners.
