Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson is entering the final year of his contract but said he is not worried about it and will allow his agent to handle the situation. Johnson said he wants to stay with the Steelers.
Huddle Up: The two sides have several more months before the start of the regular season, so fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation. Johnson will be working with a new quarterback in 2022 but should continue to be a focal point in the passing game. He can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson was in uniform and participated in organized team activities Tuesday, May 31. Johnson did not take part in OTAs last week, fueling some speculation that he was skipping voluntary work because he was looking for a new contract.
Huddle Up: This would appear to be much ado about nothing. Johnson figures to remain the Steelers' alpha receiver in 2022, although there is some reason to believe he may not be a fantasy WR1 given the transition from Ben Roethlisberger to either Kenny Pickett or Mitchell Trubisky. Either way, Johnson should be a high-volume target and a solid WR2 option at worst.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson is sitting out organized team activities because he's unhappy with his contract, Mark Kaboly of The Athletic reports. "Johnson is unhappy with his current contract situation and trying to send a message through his lack of attendance," Kaboly wrote, while also noting Johnson doesn't have much leverage.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Jan. 7.
Huddle Up: Even as his yards-per-catch marks have taken a big hit in recent weeks as Ben Roethlisberger continues to look his age, Johnson is getting enough volume and red zone looks to serve as a WR1 most weeks. He should be on the field as often as he normally would in Week 18 with Pittsburgh still vying for a playoff spot and have a field day against the beat-up secondary of the Baltimore Ravens.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Jan. 6.
Huddle Up: There was no mention of what his outlook is for Week 18, but Johnson is obviously a high-end option in flux now.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson ended up with eight receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets in Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns.
Huddle Up: Johnson is the trivia answer for who caught Ben Roethlisberger's final touchdown pass at Heinz Field. He will look to keep up the good work in Week 18 at Baltimore in the season finale.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson caught six of his nine targets for 51 yards and a touchdown in a 36-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16.
Huddle Up: It wasn't a great showing form the Pittsburgh offense, but Johnson was still able to produce a decent stat line. His status as the clear go-to option in the passing game has its benefits.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson caught all five of his passes for 38 yards and added a 10-yard run in a 19-13 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 15.
Huddle Up: The Pittsburgh offense struggled all afternoon, and despite his worst outing since the opener, Johnson still managed to lead the team in receiving. Expect him to bounce back against Kansas City in Week 16.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson had five receptions (on 10 targets) for 76 yards in the Week 14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He also ran once for seven yards.
Huddle Up: For the second straight game, Johnson dropped what should've been a touchdown, reigniting fantasy PTSD from 2020 when the wideout struggled with drops. He still topped 70 yards receiving for the 10th time in 12 games while seeing double-digit targets for a fifth straight week. Even with these frustrating hiccups, Johnson is ensconced as a WR1.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson caught eight of his 11 targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns in Week 13 versus the Baltimore Ravens.
Huddle Up: Even as Ben Roethlisberger continues his decline, Johnson continues his ascent. The third-year receiver could have scored a third touchdown in the first half, but he dropped the ball. Nevertheless, his route-running and quickness were on full display in this one, getting wide open on a 29-yard score early in the fourth quarter before beating Marlon Humphrey for the go-ahead touchdown with 1:48 left. With at least 10 targets and seven catches in four straight and eight games overall in 2021, Johnson is a solid WR1 play just about every week - including in Week 14 against the Minnesota Vikings.
