Huddle Up: Pierce has had some explosive plays in 2025, but injuries at quarterback may limit him. He should be avoided in most leagues but can be a flex play in deeper ones.

The Indianapolis Colts are opening up to the possibility of signing WR Alec Pierce to a contract extension, according to ESPN.com's Stephen Holder. According to multiple sources, the Colts had decided long ago not to re-sign Pierce after the 2025 season because it was not considered financially prudent. The team had drafted WR Adonai Mitchell in 2024 with the intention of having him eventually replace Pierce. However, Mitchell displayed inconsistency during his time in Indianapolis and was traded to the New York Jets earlier this month, while Pierce has.
Huddle Up: The 25-year-old Pierce is enjoying the best season of his career so far, with 28 catches for 585 yards and a touchdown through eight games. He is also leading the NFL in yards per reception (20.9) for the second consecutive year. Pierce has been targeted at least five times in six of his last seven games and can be viewed as a flex option or better in all fantasy leagues.
