Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin had three receptions (on three targets) for a team-high 79 yards and a touchdown versus the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, Nov. 21.
Huddle Up: Austin is one of those players that will pop up with a nice game now and then but offers little on a week in, week out basis. To that end, Austin has finished with 20 yards or less six times this year. He does have three games of 50-plus yards with a touchdown, though, so as a desperation lottery ticket you could do worse.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin caught two passes for 20 yards against the Washington Commanders in Week 10. He was targeted six times during the game.
Huddle Up: Austin was behind only George Pickens in terms of targets this week but was unable to find a connection with Russell Wilson. He should see a handful of targets again next week and could be a possible flex option in deeper leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin III posted three receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown on four targets in Week 8 against the New York Giants, and he added a 73-yard kickoff return for touchdown.
Huddle Up: Austin's fantasy appeal is rather minimal in most standard leagues, but he is a decent option in formats which reward individual return yardage. He and the Steelers are off in Week 9 with a bye, so make alternate plans.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin caught two of his five targets for 36 yards in Week 6 versus the Las Vegas Raiders.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin posted just one reception for 17 yards on a single target in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Huddle Up: Austin had four receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 2, but he has a single catch and 17 or fewer yards in each of his other three outings. Until he is able to post more consistent offense, his fantasy appeal is limited to deeper leagues at this time.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin caught four passes for 95 yards and one touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. He was targeted five times during the game.
Huddle Up: The Steelers do not have a clear No. 2 wide receiver, so Austin could have a chance to earn the job after his Week 3 performance. He is probably not a starting fantasy option at this point but could have some value later in the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin III posted one catch for just six yards on two targets in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin caught two of his three targets for a game-high 49 receiving yards in a 20-12 preseason loss to the Houston Texans Friday, Aug. 9.

Pittsburgh Steelers WRs Roman Wilson, Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin are not expected to face any outside competition for the time being, according to comments made by general manager Omar Khan on Thursday, July 25.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Calvin Austin is expected to see a larger role in the team's offense in 2024, following the decision to trade WR Diontae Johnson and release WR Allen Robinson during the offseason, in the opinion of Mark Kaboly of The Athletic.
Huddle Up: Austin was on the field for just 35% of the team's offensive snaps last season and only had 17 receptions but should see an uptick in fantasy production this year because of less competition. He is expected to be used primarily as a slot receiver, although the same could also be said of rookie Roman Wilson. On the other hand, Austin's role on special teams could diminish because Cordarrelle Patterson is now the leading candidate to return punts. He's worthy of consideration as a late-round flier in deeper fantasy leagues.
