San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) may have been able to return to the game Sunday, Oct. 27, if necessary, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Huddle Up: Isaac Guerendo had a 14-85-1 line on the night, and the real question is has he leaped over Mason to be the RB2 once Christian McCaffrey returns after the bye? Keep Mason and Guerendo until there is more clarity on the situation.

Updating a previous report, San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) left the Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys after six times for 18 yards.
Huddle Up: Mason will get the team's Week 9 bye to heal up, but his run as the featured back in San Francisco is likely coming to an end when the team goes back to work next week. Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) has reportedly had no setbacks in his most recent recovery and appears to be on track to play in Week 10 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mason should be kept on benches for two reasons: 1) he should remain the primary handcuff to McCaffrey and 2) he figures to see occasional work to keep CMC fresh.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) left the Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys in the first half due to a shoulder injury. He exited for the locker room, and he is considered questionable to return.
Huddle Up: With Mason sidelined, rookie Isaac Guerendo is holding down the fort. If Mason is unable to return, Guerendo looks capable of handling the every-down chores in the backfield.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) was a full participant in practice on Friday, Oct. 25, after being limited the two days prior and was removed from the Week 8 injury report.
Huddle Up: After having monster performances in three of his first four games, Mason has come back down to earth in the last three. He's still a borderline RB1 play but could fall into RB2 territory with another disappointing showing. Regardless, he should be in lineups.

San Francisco 49ers DT Kevin Givens (groin), WR Jauan Jennings (hip) and PK Jake Moody (ankle) did not take part in practice on Friday, Oct. 25, and were ruled out for Week 8. San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Huddle Up: Mason was on the injury report for Week 7 but was able to play and probably will be available again this week. He will continue to receive most of the work at running back for the time being and can be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Huddle Up: Mason has cooled off a bit after his tremendous start to the season but is still the main option in the running game for the 49ers. He should be a starting option in fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) was active for the Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, finishing with 58 rushing yards on 14 carries, while absorbing his two targets for 11 yards.
Huddle Up: It wasn't a huge stat line for Mason, but it was good to see him back. He is the bellcow back in San Francisco, at least until Christian McCaffrey is able to make it back at some point. Mason could also be used to catch more passes out of the backfield with the team losing Brandon Aiyuk. Mason is back as a solid RB2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 8.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) was a full participant in practice on Friday, Oct. 18, after being limited the two days prior and carries no designation into Week 7.
Huddle Up: Mason exited last week's game early when he was on pace for a monster game. However, the injury wasn't enough to keep him out in Week 7. He remains an RB1.
