Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers turned heads during Day 1 of rookie minicamp on Friday, May 10, due to his athleticism and explosiveness.
Huddle Up: Friday's rookie minicamp session was a perfect example of why so many were high on Bowers, who saw snaps all over the formation. Assuming he can get acclimated, that versatility, combined with his playmaking ability, should help him see the field plenty in his first year. There are concerns, though, and namely his competition for targets with Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Michael Mayer, and he may also be limited by Las Vegas' quarterback play. Bowers will be worth a look in re-draft leagues but don't expect elite production in Year 1 and don't target him before the middle to late rounds.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers said one of his strengths is making plays after the catch. "One of the things I do best is the yards after catch and being able to get vertical after I get the ball," Bowers said.
Huddle Up: Bowers will be a hot commodity in dynasty formats, but given the quarterback situation in Las Vegas, he is probably a boom-or-bust TE2 in redraft leagues.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers will not be pressured to have an immediate impact on offense, according to assistant general manager Champ Kelly. Kelly said the team wants Bowers to learn the offensive system and work well with the other tight ends on the team.

Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers, who was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was "obviously in consideration throughout the process" for the New York Jets, according to general manager Joe Douglas. "One of the best players in the draft," Douglas said. "It was a tough decision, really."

Georgia TE Brock Bowers was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Huddle Up: Bowers should immediately step in as the starting tight end for the Raiders and likely be a popular target for the quarterback. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 or a high-end No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.

The Los Angeles Rams are reportedly attempting to move up from the No. 19 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and secure a selection inside the top 10, according to Dianni Russini of The Athletic. While there is no definitive indication as to who the Rams' target might be, Georgia TE Brock Bowers is among the most likely targets.
Huddle Up: As Russini points out, it would be a bold move for a team that hasn't drafted in the first round since 2016. With that said, there are few players more worthy of moving up for than Bowers, who would likely be Los Angeles' answer to George Kittle and Trey McBride in the NFC West. From a fantasy perspective, managers should be overjoyed if the All-American tight end finds his way to California, as few coaches can run an offense like Sean McVay.

The New York Jets may prefer WRs Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze if they fall over TE Brock Bowers, according to ESPN's Richi Cimini on Sunday, April 21. "Here's what we're hearing: The Jets could pick a wide receiver in the unlikely event that one of the top three falls to 10. They're also interested in offensive tackles, with Notre Dame's Joe Alt, Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga and Washington's Troy Fautanu thought to be their top preferences. Alt probably will be off the board, so the choice could come down to Bowers versus their OT2," said Cimini.
