Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner (undisclosed) is 'feeling really good" after two offseason surgeries in the spring, according to a source on Monday, July 27. Barner avoided the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list and will likely have his reps in training camp managed.
Huddle Up: Barner was solid for the Seahawks in 2025, building off of a 30-catch campaign in his 2024 rookie season with a 52-519-6 season and a Super Bowl. Heading into his third season, Barner is a clear fantasy TE2 that still has to fight off 2025 rookie Elijah Arroyo for snaps. If Barner can get more of a foothold in the target-earning department, he can be a solid bye-week streamer for fantasy managers in 2026.

Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner (undisclosed) is participating in practice Saturday, July 25, after missing offseason workouts because of an undisclosed injury.
Huddle Up: Barner is coming off a breakout 2025 season and should see a handful of targets each game this season. He can be considered a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner said he believes he can play much better than he did during the 2025 season and is looking to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL.
Huddle Up: Barner played well last season with 519 yards and six touchdowns, so it will help his fantasy value if he can improve on those numbers in 2026. He should probably be considered a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues at this point.

Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner (undisclosed) said he had multiple surgeries over the offseason but will be "ready to go" when training camp begins.
Huddle Up: Barner didn't mention the specifics of the surgeries, but it doesn't sound like he expects either surgery to impact his availability for the upcoming season. He was a boom-or-bust fantasy option for much of last season, but Barner has shown TE1 upside and can be a streaming option against the right matchups.

Seattle Seahawks TE AJ Barner faces the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game, and Barner recorded 14 receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown in the two meetings with the Rams in the regular season.
Huddle Up: Barner has been a boom-or-bust option at the tight end position this year, but two of his busiest games came against the Rams, including a 10-reception performance in the first matchup. If you are looking to load up at other positions in playoff contests, Barner could make a solid sleeper play at tight end.
