San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman (knee) has been designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list. The team will have 21 days to add him to their 53-man roster.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor Coleman's practice participation during the week to see if he has a chance to play in Week 8. He would be part of a committee at running back if he plays and could be a risky fantasy option because of his uncertain role.

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman (knee) hopefully will be activated from the Reserve/Injured list this week.
Huddle Up: Coleman has missed around a month because of the injury but may be available for the Week 8 game. He will be part of a committee at running back when he returns but probably will see a solid amount of touches. He could be a flex option in some leagues depending on his role.

San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring) will not play in the Week 8 game because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 7. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Samuel probably will also miss the Week 9 game since it will be a short week.
Huddle Up: Branon Aiyuk and George Kittle likely will be the main targets in the passing game for the 49ers while Samuel is out and should be starting options in all leagues. Kendrick Bourne could also see more targets but can be avoided.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain during the Week 7 game and will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list.
Huddle Up: Jerick McKinnon and LaMycal Hasty are the top two running backs on the roster, but Tevin Coleman may be close to returning. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during the week to see each running back may be used.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jerick McKinnon (ribs) ran three times for minus-1 yard in Week 7 against the New England Patriots. After the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan said he wanted to give McKinnon some rest after playing him a lot over the past couple of weeks, and the head coach said McKinnon banged up his ribs recently, and that the rest should help the back in future weeks.
Huddle Up: The information on McKinnon's injury didn't help his fantasy owners after the fact. It was Jeff Wilson who was the bellcow, going over 100 yards with a career-high three touchdowns before leaving the game with an ankle injury. If Wilson is forced to miss time, McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty could be busier.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle registered five receptions for 55 yards on seven targets in Week 7 against the New England Patriots.
Huddle Up: Kittle has four or more receptions in each of his five games while going for 44 or more yards in each outing. He has been a little inconsistent, and missed some time due to injury, but he remains an obvious TE1 in most fantasy leagues. The 49ers travel to meet the Seahawks in Week 8.

San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel registered five receptions for 65 yards on his five targets in Week 7 against the New England Patriots and he ran three times for seven yards.
Huddle Up: Samuel is healthy again, and he is stepped up his game. He has 11 receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown across the past two outings. He is a decent WR4 or flex play in PPR leagues, with lesser appeal in standard formats.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk managed six receptions for 115 yards on seven targets in the Week 7 game against the New England Patriots.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk scored his first-career receiving touchdown in Week 6 against the Rams, and now he has the most receptions and yards of his career. The rookie out of Arizona State is becoming a larger part of the offense, and worth a look as a WR5 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

San Francisco 49ers RB JaMycal Hasty rushed nine times for 57 yards in Week 7 against the New England Patriots, and he added one catch for 16 yards on his only target.
Huddle Up: Hasty was summoned once Jeff Wilson Jr. exited the game due to an ankle injury, and the undrafted rookie did a good job. It's uncertain if he'll have a larger role heading into Week 8, and it likely depends upon the health of Wilson. But Hasty looked like he could be an explosive playmaker if given the opportunity, so fantasy owners will have to stay tuned.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo completed 20-of-25 passes for 277 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 7 against the New England Patriots, his former team, but he did lead his team to a road victory.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo has gone without a touchdown pass in two of his previous three outings, and he has three touchdowns and four interceptions during the span. At least his yardage total was a season high. He'll look for more consistency heading into Week 8 in Seattle, but he remains more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues at this point.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (leg) suffered a left leg injury in the third quarter of the Week 7 game against the New England Patriots while scoring his career-high third touchdown of the day.
Huddle Up: With the game well out of hand, as his TD put the 49ers up 30-6, it's unlikely he'll be pushed to return. Wilson entered the day with a calf injury, but it's uncertain if he aggravated that injury or suffered a new one.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (calf) is officially active for the Week 7 game.
Huddle Up: Wilson will be part of a committee at running back since Raheem Mostert. He should see some touches in the running and passing game but can be avoided in most leagues.

San Francisco 49ers RB Tevin Coleman (knee) has an 'outside chance' of returning in Week 8, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan Saturday, Oct. 24.
Huddle Up: Coleman should be stashed now wherever available with RB Raheem Mostert going on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (calf) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.
Huddle Up: Wilson has a chance to be part of a committee at running back if he is healthy, but fantasy players will need to check the inactive list. He played well earlier in the season, but players may want to use healthier options in their lineups.

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 23, and has been ruled out for Week 7.
Huddle Up: Mostert is expected to miss multiple weeks because of the injury, so fantasy players should look for other options to use. Jerick McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty likely will share playing time while Mostert is sidelined. McKinnon probably has more fantasy value and can be a flex option in leagues. Hasty should be rostered in leagues and has a chance to be a flex option depending on the opponent.

San Francisco 49ers RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (calf) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 22.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players should monitor the situation because Wilson likely will be part of a committee at running back if he is able to play. He will be facing a tough New England Patriots defense if he is active and can be avoided in most leagues.

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 22.
Huddle Up: Mostert is expected to be miss multiple weeks because of the injury, so fantasy players should keep him on the bench. Jerick McKinnon, Jeff Wilson Jr., and JaMycal Hasty probably will see work at running back this week. McKinnon probably has the most fantasy value and can be a flex option in fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Huddle Up: Mostert remains expected to miss multiple weeks. Fantasy managers should be grabbing Jerick McKinnon wherever available.

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain during the Week 6 game and likely will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Huddle Up: Jerick McKinnon, Jeff Wilson Jr. and JaMycal Hasty probably will all see playing time while Mostert is out of the lineup. McKinnon may have the most value among the three and can be a flex option in leagues. Fantasy players can consider adding Wilson and Hasty if they are available.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk scored his third TD of the season but was otherwise invisible as Kittle and Samuel got most of the looks. As long as that duo is healthy, Aiyuk isn't someone to trust in a starting role.

San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel had six receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, Oct. 18, against the Los Angeles Rams. He also ran once for minus-six yards.
Huddle Up: Most (all?) of Samuel's "receptions" were push passes that he turned into positive gains, including the game-clincher. He's obviously talented with the ball in his hand, but when the vast majority of his production is dependent on elusiveness and misdirection it's hard to view him as more than a flex option.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle caught seven passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in a Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: Targeted a team-high 10 times, Kittle had the biggest catch of the game, a 44-yard TD on fourth down. Other than that it was a steady diet of short passes with Kittle fighting for yards after the catch. In a tough year for upper-tier tight ends, Kittle remains one of the few steady TE1s.

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) carried the ball 17 times for 65 yards against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Oct. 18, before departing with an ankle injury. Mostert also caught two passes for 11 yards.
Huddle Up: Mostert was running exceptionally hard Sunday night, but that style caught up with him as he suffered an ankle injury that kept him out for the entirety of the second half. Obviously the short-term move is to wait for a health update on Mostert, who has already missed time this season due to injury.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo connected on 23 of 33 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Oct. 18. He also gained eight yards on four rushing attempts.
Huddle Up: Coming off a disastrous Week 5, head coach Kyle Shanahan put the training wheels on Jimmy G Sunday night in a big way, utilizing a series of ultra high-percentage passes behind the line of scrimmage to move the ball and keep the Rams from hitting a still-hampered QB. To his credit, Garoppolo did make one nice throw to George Kittle on fourth down that turned into a TD, but it's hard to trust someone that's being so heavily managed.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing Week 5 performance but will be facing a tough Los Angeles Rams defense. He can be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues, but fantasy players in standard leagues should be able to find better options.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 15.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo is coming off a terrible Week 5 performance but will look to rebound against the Los Angeles Rams. He can be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues but probably can be avoided in standard leagues.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 14.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo should be in line to start Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. He'll be a mid-tier QB2 following a poor performance in Week 5 in which he threw two interceptions while completing just seven of 17 passes before leaving due to injury.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) will practice this week and hopefully will be the starting quarterback in Week 5, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Huddle Up: Garoppolo is still working his way back from a high ankle sprain and was bench during the Week 5 game after struggling in the first half. Fantasy players probably should consider other options for their lineups until Garoppolo plays better.
