New York Giants RB Wayne Gallman appears to have fallen behind RB Paul Perkins in the battle for the No. 2 running back job, and Gallman isn't a lock to be the No. 3 back at this point, according to Matt Lombardo of NJ.com.
Huddle Up: It sounds like Saquon Barkley owners should try to target Perkins when trying to secure a handcuff.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins was the first running back to sub in when RB Saquon Barkley was on the sidelines during spring practices, and Matt Lombardo of NJ.com believes Perkins will enter the season as the top backup if he continues to play well in training camp.
Huddle Up: Barkley is going to monopolize the touches as long as he is healthy, but it can't hurt for Barkley owners to add Perkins in the later rounds as an insurance policy.

Updating previous reports, New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (pectoral) had surgery on a torn pectoral muscle. The extent of his injury and timetable are unknown.
Huddle Up: Perkins didn't have a firm spot before the injury, and the Giants could draft Saquon Barkley at No. 2. The injury could cost Perkins nine months or more, and he should be avoided in fantasy for now.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (pectoral) suffered a pectoral injury while training and was seen with his arm in a sling Tuesday, April 24.
Huddle Up: Perkins is on the outside looking in in the Giants' backfield after squandering his opportunity to start last year. Jonathan Stewart and Wayne Gallman figure to be most prominently used, but that could obviously change if New York selects Saquon Barkley in the draft.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 2.
Huddle Up: As has been well documented, Perkins has been a no show this season even when healthy. He'll really have to tick his game up a few notches if he wants to earn his starting job back from Orleans Darkwa. With Perkins behind him, Darkwa is an RB2 or flex consideration in Week 9.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Huddle Up: It looks like Perkins will be able to return to the field this weekend barring any setbacks. Unfortunately, he has done next to nothing as New York's starting running back this year. Orleans Darkwa, and even Wayne Gallman, remain better fantasy options until Perkins can get his head on straight.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) is out for Week 7.
Huddle Up: Orleans Darkwa took control of the backfield last week with 21 carries for 117 yards against the best defense against RBs in the league this season. The Seattle Seahawks have been good as well, but Darkwa makes a solid flex choice.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) has been ruled out for Week 6.
Huddle Up: Wayne Gallman has a rough matchup against the Denver Broncos, which limits any upside his increased usage would bring. He's a risky flex play this week.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) remains out of practice Thursday, Oct. 12.
Huddle Up: Wayne Gallman had an 11-57-0 rushing line and a 5-25-0 receiving line last week. He'll be a flex option in a rough matchup against the Denver Broncos if Perkins can't go.

New York Giants RB Paul Perkins (ribs) has been ruled out for Week 5.
Huddle Up: Wayne Gallman should be scooped up off waivers if nothing else but to block other owners. He had 42 yards rushing and a receiving touchdown last week. The rookie out of Clemson has some uncertainty, but that's actually a good thing. You know what you have in Perkins and Shane Vereen. While Vereen has some PPR pop, he offers nothing in terms of rushing. Gallman could be a flex possibility against the Los Angeles Chargers.
