Huddle Up: He'll likely supplant Giorgio Tavecchio as the starting kicker, and Bryant will have some low-end PK1 appeal.

Free-agent PK Matt Bryant will work out for the Atlanta Falcons on Friday, Aug. 30.

Huddle Up: Current Falcons PK Giorgio Tavecchio has endured a shaky preseason, hitting only 4-of-8 field-goal attempts, so a return for Bryant -- even at age 44 -- is definitely on the table if he impresses Friday. Take note in fantasy as the Falcons should have one of the league's better offenses.

Free-agent PK Matt Bryant (Falcons) likely will not be an option for the Chicago Bears since he has not handled kickoff duties since 2008 and has not kicked for a cold-weather outdoor team since 2003, in the opinion of The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs.

Free-agent PK Matt Bryant (Falcons) and free-agent RB Kareem Hunt (Chiefs) have already been discussed as potential targets as well.

Atlanta Falcons PK Matt Bryant was released Wednesday, Feb. 6. He had two years and $7 million remaining on his contract. Cutting Bryant saves Atlanta nearly $3 million in 2019 salary cap space. PK Giorgio Tavecchio is expected to be the starting kicker for the Falcons next season. He will earn $645,000 in 2019 .

Huddle Up: Bryant may be old in football years (he turns 44 this offseason), but he made 20 of 21 field goals in 13 games last season. He's not off the fantasy radar just yet.
