San Francisco 49ers QB Nick Mullens will start against the Oakland Raiders Thursday, Nov. 1, according to a source. QB C.J. Beathard (wrist) will be active and back up Mullens.
Huddle Up: Mullens has a good matchup, but he's not a recommended fantasy starter in his first career start and in a primetime game.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard (wrist) will be a game-time decision Thursday, Nov. 1, to see if he can play in Week 9 with a wrist injury. If not, Nick Mullens will start against the Oakland Raiders.
Huddle Up: If you're leaning toward Beathard as bye-week fill-in or two-quarterback league starter, you will need to check the inactives list released an hour and a half before kickoff.

Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard (wrist) is 50-50 to play in the game Thursday, Nov. 1, with a wrist injury that has caused him issues gripping the football. QB Nick Mullens would start if Beathard can't go.
Huddle Up: Neither options are playable in fantasy at this juncture.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard (wrist) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31 and he is questionable for Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders on Thursday, Nov. 1.
Huddle Up: Beathard has had trouble gripping the ball in practice this week, but he has another 24 hours to try and get right. If he cannot go it would be Nick Mullens taking his place under center.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard (wrist) didn't practice Tuesday, Oct. 30, because of a right wrist injury.
Huddle Up: The short week won't do Beathard any favors, and if he is unable to play, any weapon in the San Francisco passing game not named George Kittle won't even be worth considering.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard (wrist) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 29. The 49ers did not hold a practice Monday, so this is an estimation.
Huddle Up: Beathard likely will be fine for the Week 9 game, but owners can monitor his status over the next few days. He has been held to under 200 yards in each of the last two games and probably should not be a starting option for owners.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard completed 14 of his 28 passes for 190 yards and a touchdown during the team's Week 8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Huddle Up: After posting some promising numbers in his first three games, Beathard has been shaky in back-to-back divisional losses. He was looking like a possible QB2 for a minute there, but given his recent struggles you shouldn't hesitate to swap him out for a steadier option.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard completed 15-of-27 passes for 170 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams and he was sacked seven times.
Huddle Up: It was an ugly day for Beathard and the 49ers offense early and often, as they never got into the game. The Niners will look to regroup in Week 8 on the road against the Arizona Cardinals, but Beathard is more of a QB2 in most fantasy formats.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard completed 16-of-23 passes for 245 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while running for 21 yards in the 33-30 loss in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers.
Huddle Up: Beathard has done a pretty decent job since taking over for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo, tossing two touchdowns in each of his three starts while going for at least 245 yards in each outing. Sure, he isn't a fantasy regular, but he isn't a bad one-off if you're desperate due to bye weeks.

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard finished 23-of-37 for a career-high 298 yards and two touchdowns to go along with two interceptions in Week 4 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. He also ran seven times for 19 yards.
Huddle Up: To his credit, Beathard looked better Sunday than he did at any point as a starter last season. But the drop-off from Jimmy Garoppolo is a substantial one, and fantasy owners of 49ers playmakers such as Marquise Goodwin figure to be disappointed more often than not. Beathard will be difficult to trust even in two-quarterback leagues in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.
