Huddle Up: Smith was a breakout player in fantasy leagues this season and should be a valuable option in leagues next season. He should be considered a weekly starting option in all leagues next season.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith caught three of his four targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in a 20-3 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.
Huddle Up: With Tyler Huntley under center, Smith didn't have the numbers fantasy owners have become accustomed to from the tight end. Fortunately, he salvaged an otherwise quiet game with a touchdown.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith caught all six of his targets for 62 yards in a 29-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16.
Huddle Up: It was another solid performance for Smith, and at this point, it is a surprise when he doesn't put up strong numbers. Smith has been one of the best waiver additions of the season, and he is likely going to finish as a top-five fantasy option at the tight end position.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith ended up with three receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown on four targets in Week 14 against the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: Smith was on his way to a disastrous day, as he didn't have a reception in regulation. However, he more than made up for it in overtime, including the walk-off touchdown. He has been a steady low-end TE1 in most fantasy leagues. The Dolphins travel to meet the Houston Texans in Week 15.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith set game highs in targets (11), receptions (10), and yards (113) against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Nov. 28. Smith did have a fumble, but it rolled out of bounds.
Huddle Up: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Skepticism reigned after Smith put up 15 receptions, 188 yards, and 3 TDs in Weeks 11 and 12. The opposition was poor, and Smith had flashed earlier in the year before disappearing. In his eighth season, a breakout seemed unlikely. Well, after posting a 10-113-0 line on Thanksgiving night, it's time to reconsider. Smith has become a big part of Miami's offensive approach, almost serving as an extension of the running game with him catching balls underneath with space to run. Based on his recent play, Smith is suddenly a legit TE1.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith caught nine of his 11 targets for 87 in yards and a touchdown in a 34-15 win over the New England Patriots in Week 12.
Huddle Up: Smith has been solid most of the year, but he has taken his play to another level the last two weeks with 188 yards and three scores. Lock him in as a TE1.

Miami Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith posted three receptions for 45 yards on four targets in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: Smith broke a few tackles for a highlight-reel 33-yard reception in the second half, but that turned a poor stat line into a mediocre one. He has three or more receptions in each of the past five games, while going for 45 or more yards. That's good enough for low-end TE1 fantasy consideration in PPR leagues of 12 or more teams, but he has lesser appeal in standard play. The Dolphins host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11.
