Tennessee Titans impending free-agent TE Jonnu Smith plans to sign a four-year contract with the New England Patriots worth $50 million. The deal will include $31.25 million in guaranteed money.
Huddle Up: Smith was one of the top tight ends available in free agency and should have a significant role in the Patriots passing game. He should be a No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues.

Tennessee Titans impending free-agent TE Jonnu Smith is not expected to receive the franchise tag this offseason.

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and Titans general manager Jon Robinson recently said although they'll explore retaining Smith with a new deal, he's prepared for Smith to decide to sign elsewhwere.
Huddle Up: Smith hit career highs with 41 receptions and 448 yards last season and finished third among tight ends with nine total TDs. Smith, who only had eight TDs total over this first three seasons, is certainly due for some touchdown regression, but he still has high-end TE2 fantasy potential.

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith was discussing the team's plan for the 2021 season on Sirius XM Radio Tuesday, Feb. 2, and said 'first, we'll have to see if this is the organization I'll be playing for. We'll see how that goes,' according to Terry McCormick of TitanInsiders.com.
Huddle Up: Smith caught 41 of 65 targets for 448 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns in 15 games in 2020. Anthony Firkser was second among Titans' tight ends with 387 receiving yards. Whoever is the starter in 2021 will be a fantasy consideration in QB Ryan Tannehill's offense.

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith caught three passes for 30 yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Dec. 27.
Huddle Up: Although he's never quite rediscovered his early-season form, Smith has been solid the past two weeks and could provide fringe TE1 value against the Texans in Week 17 -- he was injured in the first meeting and backup Anthony Firkser posted a 8-113-1 line in relief.

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.
Huddle Up: Smith has been targeted at least five times in three of the last four games and is coming off one of his better games of the season. He has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper fantasy leagues.

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 24.
Huddle Up: It is not known if Smith was receiving the day off or if he is in danger of missing the Week 16 game. He is coming off one of his better games of the season and has a chance to be a possible low-end No. 1 tight end in deeper leagues if he plays.
