San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor (foot) had surgery to insert a screw into his foot Friday, Aug. 9.
Huddle Up: Taylor had been receiving praise throughout the offseason and was in line to be the starting slot receiver. His injury could mean even more targets for rookie Deebo Samuel, who is worth a flier as a WR5 in redraft leagues.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor (back) has been ruled out for the Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday, Oct. 15.
Huddle Up: With Taylor on the sidelines it will mean more chances for Victor Bolden and Richie James. Neither is particularly attractive from a fantasy perspective, however.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor posted four receptions for 28 yards on six targets in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Huddle Up: Taylor was seeing a bump in usage with Marquise Goodwin battling a quadriceps ailment in the opener. It might be wise to target Taylor off the waiver wire in deeper PPR formats as a WR5 if Goodwin is forced to miss time. The 49ers host the Lions in Week 2.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor is emerging as a 'popular target' for QB Jimmy Garoppolo.
Huddle Up: Taylor has a chance to open the year as the starting slot receiver, and he could be worth a flier as a WR5 in PPR formats with Garoppolo leading the offense.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 21.
Huddle Up: Unsurprisingly, the 2017 fifth-round draft choice has had two of his three highest yardage totals since Jimmy Garoppolo took over under center a few weeks ago. However, while he's starting to knock on the door of fantasy relevancy, he's just a WR5 at best for the time being.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor posted six grabs for 92 yards on six targets in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears.
Huddle Up: It was easily a career best for the rookie from Louisiana Tech, as his previous best was 47 yards on five catches back on Oct. 1 against the Cardinals. Now that Taylor has a legitimate NFL-caliber quarterback under center with Jimmy Garoppolo he might be a player worth watching in deeper fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor posted three receptions for 33 yards in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles to lead the team's wide receivers.
Huddle Up: Taylor didn't do a lot, but he was better than his teammates. In fact, he was the only wide receiver with a catch other than the injured Pierre Garcon, as Aldrick Robinson, Marquise Goodwin and Kendrick Bourne were targeted a total of seven times, but they had zero total grabs.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor reeled in five balls for 39 yards on five targets in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Huddle Up: Taylor has emerged as a trusted receiver in the San Francisco offense, racking up five targets in three of the past four outings. However, he is only worth a look as a WR5 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 8 in Philadelphia.

San Francisco 49ers WR Trent Taylor posted five catches for 47 yards on 10 targets in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Huddle Up: Taylor has been busy over the past two games, quickly catching on and carving out a role in the offense. However, he entered with just nine targets over the first three games, so give him at least one more week to see if he can do it again before relying upon him in the starting lineup.
