San Francisco 49ers TE Ross Dwelley had three catches for 52 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 9.
Huddle Up: Dwelley made a nice shoestring catch on a 36-yard grab and finished second on the team in receiving yards. He also played the majority of the snaps, logging 42 to just 13 for Jordan Reed. That could simply be a concession to Reed just being activated from IR, or it could mean that the 49ers view him as their top tight end with George Kittle potentially lost for the season. While it's probably too early to make a move on Dwelley, he's absolutely worth adding to your watch list.

San Francisco 49ers TE Ross Dwelley posted a 16-yard touchdown on his only grab on four targets in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: Dwelley saw some extra run down the stretch with George Kittle leaving the game early. It's uncertain if Kittle will be available for Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers with a quick turnaround on Thursday, but Dwelley would only warrant fantasy attention as a low-cost DFS option if he starts. He still isn't of much value in seasonal leagues if Kittle sits.

San Francisco 49ers TE Ross Dwelley caught four passes for 49 yards against the New York Giants in Week 3. He was targeted four times during the game.
Huddle Up: Dwelley had a bigger role in the passing game because Jordan Reed left with injuries. He could be the starting tight end next week if Reed and George Kittle are not ready to play. Fantasy players can find better options and avoid Dwelley.

San Francisco 49ers TE Ross Dwelley is 'probably' the frontrunner to be the backup tight end behind George Kittle this season, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.
Huddle Up: There isn't likely to be much work available behind Kittle come the regular season, but Dwelley will be a name to watch should Kittle miss any time this year.
