New York Jets WR Jeff Smith had a strong practice Sunday, Aug. 16, and he took advantage of the chance with WRs Denzel Mims and Vyncint Smith missing time due to injuries.
Huddle Up: The Jets have a mish-mash of receivers, with Jamison Crowder as the only notable receiver as the de facto No. 1. Smith could battle for a meaningful role, especially if injuries to the others linger on, but he would still only be worth a look in the deepest of fantasy formats at this point.

New York Jets WR Vyncint Smith might be in line for a bigger role in Week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens, beat writer Rich Cimini suggests, as WR Demaryius Thomas is unlikely to play.
Huddle Up: Smith is worth scooping up as a WR5 in deeper fantasy leagues if you're desperate for receiver help at this critical juncture of the season. He is also a decent low-cost DFS play with some upside.
