Free-agent QB Drew Stanton (Cardinals) signed a two-year contract with the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, March 25. No financial details were disclosed.
Huddle Up: Stanton has little fantasy value unless Tyrod Taylor proves ineffective or is injured, but he will bring a veteran clubhouse presence to a team that was lost in 2017.

Arizona Cardinals QBs Blaine Gabbert and Drew Stanton will likely be competing with another quarterback this offseason for the starting quarterback job. Team owner Michael Bidwill said the Cardinals will be aggressive in their search for a new starting quarterback following the retirement of QB Carson Palmer.
Huddle Up: Gabbert and Stanton fall far from the elite quarterback tree. Whether it's through free agency or the draft, Arizona will address the position this offseason. Odds are, though, that whoever starts will not be a reliable starting fantasy quarterback.

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton completed 20 of his 34 pass attempts for 209 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 16 against the New York Giants.
Huddle Up: Stanton was back under center and he did an adequate job, but he will likely remain a backup in 2018 and beyond.

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton (knee) will be playing 'in a lot of pain' in Week 16, according to head coach Bruce Arians, who classified Stanton's knee injury as 'bad.'
Huddle Up: Well, just in case you needed another reason not to play Stanton this Sunday (and, for the record, you didn't) here it is. Suffice to say that Arians calling Stanton's number over a healthy Blaine Gabbert doesn't bode well for the latter's future in Arizona. In the short term, though, neither player would be a fantasy option.

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton will start against the New York Giants in Week 16 in place of QB Blaine Gabbert, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Huddle Up: Stanton played fairly well in the two games he started this year, throwing for 473 total yards and three touchdowns. Of course, he's nowhere near good enough to be starting on fantasy championship squads, but he makes for a cheap DFS play.

Arizona Cardinals QB Blaine Gabbert will start again next week no matter the status of QB Drew Stanton (knee), according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Huddle Up: Gabbert earned the right to be under center for at least one more game after slicing up the vaunted Jacksonville Jaguars defense. Gabbert did throw an interception, but he was otherwise efficient throughout the game en route to a Cards win. Don't expect lightning to strike twice, though, as Gabbert faces another tough test in the Los Angeles Rams next week.

Arizona Cardinals QB Blaine Gabbert will remain the starter at least until QB Drew Stanton (knee) is back at full health, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Huddle Up: Gabbert was a pleasant fantasy surprise in his first start of the season last week, although he did throw two interceptions. Unfortunately, Gabbert and the Cardinals face the Jacksonville Jaguars next week. Do not start Blaine Gabbert.
