San Francisco 49ers first-round draft choice WR Brandon Aiyuk signed a four-year contract with the 49ers Friday, June 26. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk will have a solid role in the passing game during his rookie season and could win a starting job during training camp. He has a chance to be at least a No. 4 fantasy receiver and could be a starting option against certain opponents.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk could have a 'bigger role' early in the season than initially planned because of the injury to WR Deebo Samuel (foot), according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk's dynasty value was already high, and if additional opportunities come his way early in the year, he could become an asset in redraft leagues as a rookie. Consider him a WR4 for now.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk participated in a workout with QB Jimmy Garoppolo and some of his other teammates Wednesday, June 10. Aiyuk said he was recently medically cleared for football activities.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is expected to have a solid role in the passing game during his rookie season and could compete for one of the starting jobs. He will be a popular pick in keeper leagues and could be a No. 4 or 5 receiver in standard leagues.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk was taken in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft in part due to his ability to be a threat at every level of the field, but also because the 49ers believe he can play any of the team's receiver positions. 'It didn't matter where you put him and it didn't matter what the play was, and that's what we got a little bit with Emmanuel (Sanders) when we traded for him, and that's what I think we're getting with Brandon. This guy wants to be great. I want someone like that. And I think he has the tools to be great. I think he has the mindset to be great, and I promise you schematically we're going to give him every chance to do that,' head coach Kyle Shanahan said.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk had a penchant for the spotlight while at Arizona State, according to his former head coach Herm Edwards. 'When the lights are the brightest, he runs to the middle of the field,' Edwards said. 'He doesn't run to the shadows. He likes competition. ... 'He did a great job when he was called upon to make big plays. In big moments in games, he always showed up for us.'
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is expected to start from Day 1 opposite sophomore WR Deebo Samuel, and he'll be the third option in the passing game behind Samuel and TE George Kittle. He should receive plenty of work after catching 65 passes for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns as the No. 1 option at Arizona State last year.

San Francisco 49ers first-round pick WR Brandon Aiyuk, whom the team selected at No. 25 overall, was a player they would have taken at 13th overall if they weren't able to trade down, according to general manager John Lynch.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk will be among the WR5 mix that could soar higher as draft season beckons.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk should be able to contribute in the passing game right away and may also be used as a kick and punt returner during his rookie season.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk probably will be at least the No. 3 receiver for the 49ers this upcoming season and likely will receive a solid amount of targets. Fantasy players can consider taking Aiyuk in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.
