San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is not expected to be ready for the start of training camp in late July, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan on Tuesday, June 10.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk went under the knife for his torn ACL in early November last year. Considering those injuries usually require at least nine months of painstaking rehab, it was always likely Aiyuk would miss some of training camp. The real question is if he can show enough progress in August to avoid IR to begin the season. In his absence, George Kittle, Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall and Christian McCaffrey each figure to see a few more looks.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) did not participate in drills during OTAs Thursday, May 29.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk continues to recover from an ACL injury, but there is a chance he will be ready for the season opener. It could take some time for Aiyuk to return to top form, but he should at least be a WR3.

After trading WR George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers now hold multiple third-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. In the opinion of ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers could use one of those in a package to acquire a veteran receiver in a trade -- to that end, Fowler mentions San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore, and Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs as possible targets. In free agency, Fowler highlights Amari Cooper (Bills) and Keenan Allen (Bears) as potential fits.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) does not have a timetable at this point, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said the team has been told by his doctor that he has a chance to be ready for Week 1.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during the offseason to see how Aiyuk progresses with his recovery. He will be a main part of the passing game when he is healthy and can be at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) did very well in his recent checkup appointment with Dr. ElAttrache, according to general manager John Lynch. Lynch also said he expects Aiyuk to be with the team in 2025.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk's fantasy value is unclear still as the team has torn down a bit, and he could be out until midseason. He'll be a WR3 or WR4 target with hopes he can return to his WR1 form by fantasy playoffs time.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is slated to receive a roster bonus of $22.85 million on Tuesday, April 1. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team would be unlikely to trade him after that date and would keep him for the entire 2025 season, while he regains his health in the hopes that he can be a contributor down the stretch.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and could resume playing by midseason, barring any setbacks. However, there is no guarantee that he will perform at the same high level fantasy owners are accustomed to seeing upon his return. Aiyuk should be viewed as a late-round flier for 2025 fantasy leagues, while TE George Kittle and WR Jauan Jennings are expected to be San Francisco's top receiving options through the first half of the season.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee), who has a $22.85 million roster bonus coming due on April 1, is making good progress in his recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament and could be ready to play by midseason, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk suffered the injury in Week 7, which means Schefter believes it will take about a full year for the receiver to make a full recovery. The problem - at least for his potential fantasy managers - is that there is no guarantee he will look like his usual self immediately upon his return. As a result, he should be considered little more than a late-round dart throw. Expect George Kittle and Jauan Jennings - with much help from Ricky Pearsall - to carry the passing game early next season.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk probably will not be a target for the Carolina Panthers if he becomes available on the trade block, in the opinion of the Charlotte Observer's Mike Kaye.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is recovering from a serious knee injury but has been mentioned as a possible trade option this offseason, so fantasy players can keep an eye on his situation. The Panthers have Xavier Legette and Adam Thielen as their main receivers at this point. Both Legette and Thielen have the chance to be No. 3 receivers or flex options if they are able to stay healthy.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is unlikely to be traded, according to David Lombardi of the San Francisco Standard.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is coming off a knee injury, but assuming he is back in San Francisco next season, he should be a key component of the offense and a potential WR2.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is available for trade along with WR Deebo Samuel, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Saturday, March 1.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk just signed a four-year, $120 million contract extension before the 2024 season, which ended prematurely due to a torn ACL. Regardless of where Aiyuk ends up, he has back-end WR2 value once he's fully healthy from the ACL recovery.
