San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk's (knee) return this season is in question, according to general manager John Lynch. When asked if Aiyuk's return was realistic, Lynch said: "Realistic? I'm not sure - hopeful."
Huddle Up: Time is ticking for Aiyuk to make an impact in the fantasy season, and that quote sounds a bit grim. The Niners really aren't using a third wide receiver much. Kendrick Bourne hasn't had a reception in three games, and it's all going to Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. Those four are clear starting candidates with the receivers in the WR2/WR3 range.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk has had his 2026 guaranteed money voided by the team, and the two sides seem to be on track to part ways, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk has been recovering from a major knee injury, but it seems the two sides have not been seeing eye to eye on things off the field. There is a good chance that Aiyuk will not play at all this season and can be avoided in fantasy leagues unless something changes with his status.

Huddle Up: Aiyuk has not been on the field since the middle of the 2024 season and has not been cleared to practice at this point. He will probably only be available for the last few games of the season and may be limited in those games. Aiyuk is unlikely to have much fantasy value this season.

If you have stashed him on IR this long, you probably should continue. If you need the spot, though, you can make him someone else's lottery ticket.
