San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and has been ruled out for Week 17.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals and will not play in Week 17 versus the Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: It's a sad way for Aiyuk to wrap up his rookie campaign, but he proved more than capable of lighting up defenses despite average quarterback play. George Kittle will remain the focal point of the passing game moving forward, but Aiyuk was dynamic enough in 2020 to be on equal footing with Deebo Samuel for top receiver honors in San Francisco entering next season. He figures to be a trendy WR3 pick in 2021 drafts.
