San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk seems unlikely to be traded, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk and the 49ers have been at odds for over a year, and even if they can't find a trade partner for Aiyuk, it seems unlikely that he will ever suit up for San Francisco again. If the 49ers opt to simply cut Aiyuk, he will be worth stashing for when he finds a new home. After all, he topped 1,300 receiving yards in 2023.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk might show up to organized team activities (OTAs), which would force the team to take him off of the reserve/did not report (R/DNR) list.
Huddle Up: It's almost 100 percent certain Aiyuk won't be a member of the 49ers, but reporting would force their hand, as they'd owe money to a player they do not want. The team added veteran star Mike Evans, and he'll join Ricky Pearsall and draft pick De'Zhaun Stribling, so there wouldn't be a big role for him even if attitudes miraculously changed.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk was not traded during the 2026 NFL Draft, but general manager John Lynch still hopes to move the receiver. "No new update right now," Lynch said regarding Aiyuk on Saturday during his post-draft news conference, per team transcript. "We're available. Give us a call. And like I said earlier, I think it's the prudent thing to do. He's an extremely talented player. He's been an extremely effective player in our league; situation didn't work itself out here."
Huddle Up: Aiyuk missed the 2025 season recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, and his exit has been rumored for a while since he landed on the reserve/left squad list in December. With Mike Evans coming in, joining Ricky Pearsall, and the team adding De'Zhaun Stribling in the draft, there is no room on the roster for the disgruntled receiver. He could resurface as a fantasy option if he lands in the right situation. Stay tuned.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is expected to receive interest from the Washington Commanders if he is released this offseason.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is not expected to remain with the 49ers but it is not known if he will be traded or released. The Commanders do not have a lot of experience behind Terry McLaurin, so Aiyuk would likely have a big role if he joined the team. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues depending on his situation.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk has been the subject of some trade decisions recently, but general manager John Lynch said he does not believe an Aiyuk trade will happen this week.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is unlikely to remain with the 49ers, so fantasy players can monitor his situation during the offseason to see if he joins a new team. He is a reliable receiver when healthy and can be a possible No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in 2026.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk's future with the team is uncertain at this point, but owner Jed York is not ruling out the possibility of Aiyuk playing for the 49ers in 2026.
Huddle Up: The 49ers will likely be moving on from Aiyuk at some point this offseason, but he is still on the roster at this point. He should have a solid role wherever he plays in 2026 and can be a No. 3 receiver in a majority of leagues if healthy.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is still on the roster, and the team does not have a timetable for a resolution to his situation, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk was placed on the Reserve/Left Squad list during the season and appears unlikely to play for the 49ers again. There is a chance that the 49ers will be able to trade him, but he will probably be released at some point if there is no deal. He should have a solid role with a team in 2026 and could be a possible No. 4 receiver depending on his situation.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is still a candidate to be traded instead of released, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "I don't think this is happening any time soon, despite the report, and I think that they'll be holding on to him for a little while to see if there's any trade value at all," Schefter said.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk is still expected to be released if San Francisco is unable to move him, and he has been linked to the Washington Commanders. Aiyuk is a bit of an unknown after losing the better part of two years to injury, but he will be worth a look as a WR4 in the hopes that he can recapture his 2023 form.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is expected to be released with a post-June 1 designation Wednesday, March 11. His likely landing spot is with the Washington Commanders.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk will be a WR4 target with WR3 potential after a lost 2025 season.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk could be a target for the Washington Commanders if he is released, according to John Keim of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Aiyuk didn't play at all in 2025 while recovering from a torn ACL and MCL, but he topped 1,300 yards in 2023. It remains to be seen if he can ever approach that level of performance again, but if he is fully healthy, he would have some legitimate upside as a weapon for Jayden Daniels.
