Carolina Panthers DE Shaq Lawson and DT Jayden Peevy were released on Tuesday, Oct. 22, while DT T.J. Smith and LB Chandler Wooten were waived. The Panthers also signed free-agent LB Cam Gill and DE Jonathan Harris.

Carolina Panthers CB Dane Jackson (hamstring) was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, Oct. 19. In addition, DT T.J. Smith was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.

The team also placed LB Tae Davis (undisclosed) and LB Cam Gill (undisclosed) on the Reserve/Injured list.

Free-agent DT T.J. Smith (Vikings) signed with the Carolina Panthers Monday, May 13. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
