Kansas City Chiefs QB Chad Henne (ankle), is eligible to come off the Reserve/Injured list in a week after undergoing surgery for a fractured ankle in August, but likely won't be ready to play, health-wise, for a 'few weeks,' according to information obtained by a team beat reporter on Friday, Oct. 18.
Huddle Up: For now, running the K.C. show, it's career journeyman Matt Moore, who has 46 TDs and 36 interceptions in 51 career games dating back to 2007. That plans could change, though, depending on the length of Patrick Mahomes' knee-injury absence.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Chad Henne (ankle) will undergo surgery Tuesday, Aug. 27, to repair a broken ankle. He is expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list. Undrafted rookie QB Kyle Shurmur is next on the depth chart, but it is believed the Chiefs will look for a veteran outside of the organization.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Chad Henne is likely to win the backup quarterback job, according to Brooke Pryor of The Kansas City Star.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Chad Henne said he is ready to embrace a 'mentor role' and help QB Patrick Mahomes.
Huddle Up: Mahomes is unproven, but he will have plenty of weapons to throw to as he begins his first year as a starter. He will be an upside-QB2 in 2018.

Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Chad Henne and Blake Bortles could play in the final preseason game, according to head coach Doug Marrone. Marrone said he has no timetable for naming a starting quarterback.
Huddle Up: Bortles went 12-for-16 for 125 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the third preseason game, while Henne went 8-for-14 for 73 yards. The Jaguars may not name a start until right before Week 1, but owners in all leagues should pass on both quarterbacks.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Chad Henne will be the starting quarterback for the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers Thursday, Aug. 24. QB Blake Bortles is also expected to receive some playing time with the first-team offense during the game.
Huddle Up: Henne may now be the leading candidate for the starting quarterback job since he is starting the most important preseason game. Owners should avoid the Jaguars quarterback situation in their drafts no matter if Henne or Bortles starts.

Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Blake Bortles and Chad Henne received an equal amount of snaps with the first-team offense during practice Monday, Aug. 21. Head coach Doug Marrone is not ready to name a starter for the third preseason game and wants to see them practice Tuesday, Aug. 22, before making a decision.
Huddle Up: Bortles has struggled during training camp and preseason, which has given Henne a chance to win the starting job. The Jaguars have a good set of receivers on the roster, but owners should stay away from the team's quarterback situation in fantasy leagues.

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said QB Blake Bortles has to earn the starting quarterback job and indicated QB Chad Henne has a chance to take the job. Marrone said he is looking for the best person to lead the offense.
Huddle Up: Bortles struggled last season and is having problems during the preseason, so he may have to play well in the third preseason if he wants to start Week 1. Owners can monitor the situation over the next few weeks, but neither Bortles nor Henne is a great option in fantasy leagues.
