The Tennessee Titans released RB Shonn Greene on Tuesday, June 16.

Huddle Up: The Titans are rebuilding and Greene, who rushed for only 687 yards and six TDs in two seasons in Tennessee, isn't a part of the plan with the team drafting Bishop Sankey in the second round a year ago and adding David Cobb in the fifth round this season. Also not helping were his OTA absences this offseason and his scheduled $3.25 million salary this season -- the final year of a 3-year, $10 million contract.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene has skipped the voluntary workouts this offseason but plans to participate in the mandatory minicamp this week, according to sources.

Huddle Up: It may be a short return to the Titans for Greene, as he'll likely find himself behind Bishop Sankey and David Cobb on the depth chart. In fact, Greene may struggle to even make the team as the Titans begin the Marcus Mariota Era--and the rebuilding process.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene has seen few carries with the team working out of three-wide personnel sets. The Titans have rushed the ball 184 times this season, with 92 carries in three-wide sets. Greene has been the ball carrier just seven times in those 92 plays. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said Wednesday, Nov. 5, that he hopes the team is running well out of base sets, which will create more chances for Greene.

Huddle Up: Because who wouldn't want more chances for a guy who hasn't topped 3.3 yards per carry in a game since Week 2? Any carries Green gets take directly from the development (and fantasy plate) of Bishop Sankey, setting the franchise back even further. But yay, more unproductive carries for Shonn Greene!

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 24, and is listed as probable for Week 8.

Huddle Up: Not good news for Bishop Sankey owners as the veteran will return after a 2-game absence and cut into the rookie's workload.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (hamstring) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 23.

Huddle Up: Greene has missed two straight games but could return to share in the carries with rookie Bishop Sankey on Sunday vs. the Titans. His status should be clearer following Friday's practice.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 7, according to a source.

Huddle Up: As expected, Greene will miss a second straight game and clearing rookie Bishop Sankey for another full workload as the Tennessee starter.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Oct. 15 and said he hopes he can return to practice next week and be ready to play Week 8.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: That means another start for rookie Bishop Sankey, who had a season-high 19 touches for 68 yards in last week's win over the Jaguars.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (hamstring) missed practice again Friday, Oct. 10, and is listed as doubtful for Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: It looks like Greene will miss his first game of the season. Dexter McCluster will be involved in picking up the slack, but certainly expect a season-high workload for rookie Bishop Sankey against a team giving up the third most fantasy points to opposing RBs.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene (hamstring) said the hamstring he injured during practice Wednesday, Oct. 8, is pretty sore. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said he is not sure if Greene will be able to play in Week 6.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Greene has logged the most carries in 4 of the Titans' 5 games so far, but this could actually be the week that second-round pick Bishop Sankey gets the chance to shine in what's also a plumb matchup against the Jags.

Tennessee Titans RB Shonn Greene lost five to 10 pounds to meet the team's weight goal after he missed most of camp due to knee surgery.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Greene remains ensconced as the Titans' first-team running back, at least until Bishop Sankey masters enough of the nuances of the position to bump him aside. There's a modicum of fantasy value here to start the season, but not much in the way of long-term value.
