Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford (ankle) went 2-for-3 for 17 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16, before he left the game because of an injury. QB Chase Daniel went 13-for-18 for 86 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions during the game, while QB David Blough went 6-for-10 for 49 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception.
Huddle Up: Daniel replaced Stafford after the injury but was benched in favor of Blough because the game was out of reach. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see if Stafford has a chance to play in Week 17. Fantasy players may want to avoid the Lions quarterback situation next week no matter the starter.

Detroit Lions QB Chase Daniel might make a start under center in Week 15 against the Tennessee Titans, as QB Matthew Stafford (ribs) is battling through a rib cartilage injury and not expected to practice much, if at all, this week.
Huddle Up: The Lions haven't officially ruled Stafford out, and a decision likely won't be made by interim head coach Darrell Bevell until later in the week. But the Lions are well out of the playoff picture, so there is no sense for Stafford to push it with nothing on the line. Daniel wouldn't be worth a play in seasonal fantasy leagues at a critical juncture, but he could be a sneaky low-cost DFS play.

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford (ribs) was knocked out of the Week 14 game against the Green Bay Packers in the fourth quarter due to an injury to his ribs. He completed 24-of-34 passes for 244 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions before QB Chase Daniel took over.
Huddle Up: Stafford has been nicked up with an assortment of injuries in recent weeks, so add this one to the long list of bumps and bruises for the veteran quarterback. If Staff cannot go in Week 15 in Tennessee it would be Daniel likely getting the starting nod.

Detroit Lions QB Chase Daniel entered the Week 9 game against the Minnesota Vikings for QB Matthew Stafford (concussion), and he finished 8-of-13 for 94 yards, one touchdown and an interception.
Huddle Up: Daniel would make the start in Week 10 against the Washington Football Team if Stafford is unable to make it back from concussion protocol, but the veteran backup is only worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues using two starting signal callers.

Detroit Lions WR Chase Daniel would be the starting quarterback in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings if QB Matthew Stafford remains on the Reserve/COVID list. Stafford is eligible to be activated Sunday, barring any negative tests.
Huddle Up: Daniel could be a sneaky play in seasonal fantasy leagues if you need a bye-week or emergency injury replacement, and he could be a nice low-cost DFS option, too. The Vikings rank 30th in the NFL against the pass, allowing 287.3 passing yards per game, and they're 29th in the NFL with 30.6 PPG allowed. That's assuming Stafford is unable to return. It will likely be touch and go all week.

Chicago Bears impending free-agent QB Chase Daniel is expected to be a target for the Cleveland Browns during free agency.

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky (hip) suffered a right hip pointer when he was sacked at the end of the second quarter in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams, according to head coach Matt Nagy. Trubisky was pulled from the game late in favor of Chase Daniel, but Nagy insisted the move was made due to the injury. 'Every decision that was made, it had zero to do with his play. It was completely based off his injury and where he was at,' Nagy said.
Huddle Up: Trubisky was not particularly good again in Week 11 even before the injury. His play across the board has deteriorated from last year, and one of the biggest differences in his game in 2019 is how little he has scrambled (and how ineffective he has been at doing it). Trubisky has two good upcoming matchups against the New York Giants and Detroit Lions, but it will be difficult for owners to start him in fantasy at any point the rest of the way.

Chicago Bears QB Chase Daniel completed 22-of-30 passes for 231 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 5 against the Oakland Raiders in London.
Huddle Up: Daniel jelled particularly nicely with Allen Robinson (7-97-2) in place of Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder). It might be the last time we see him for a while, though, as the regular starter gets two weeks to rest with a bye coming up.

Chicago Bears QB Chase Daniel is expected to make the start in Week 5 against the Oakland Raiders in London, as head coach Matt Nagy said QB Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder) is 'likely missing this game.'
Huddle Up: Daniel completed 22-of-30 passes for 195 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions against the Vikings in Week 4 after coming on for the injured Trubisky. However, Daniel is only worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues using two signal callers for Week 5.
