Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake (Achilles') has exceeded expectations in terms of where doctors thought he would be at in his recovery, executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum said recently.
Huddle Up: The Fins are counting on the 34-year-old Wake more than ever, letting Olivier Vernon walk and signing Wake to a two-year extension. IDP league owners should follow suit and don't let Wake slip too far in drafts despite the red flags.

Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake has signed a two-year, $15 million extension with $10 million guaranteed, according to a reports.
Huddle Up: Wake just turned 34 in January but has notched the league's third-most sacks (64.5) since the 2010 season. The big question, though, is how Wake will bounce back from the torn Achilles that sidelined him for more than half of the 2015 season, but indications are that he'll be ready to go come the season opener.

Updating an ongoing story, Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake suffered an Achilles injury against the New England Patriots in Week 8, the team announced.
Huddle Up: Much larger than the Dolphins' 36-7 loss Thursday night was the loss of their top pass rusher, who was just coming on with seven sacks over his last three games, including one Thursday before leaving with what sounds to be a season-ending injury. Ugh.

Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake recorded 5 total tackles, 2 QB hits and 3 sacks, including the game-winning safety in OT Thursday, Oct. 31 in a 22-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Huddle Up: Wake has been battling injuries and entered the contest with only 2 sacks, but came through big-time for his IDP owners Thursday night while helping the Dolphins snap their four-game losing streak.

Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake (knee) said he hopes to be able to play Week 5 after sitting out the team's Week 4 game because of his knee injury.
Huddle Up: It would be interesting if Miami clears him to play given the Dolphins have a Week 6 bye. They clearly missed him last week against the Saints, though.

Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake (knee) was able to participate in individual drills during practice Wednesday, Sept. 25, but sat out team drills.
Huddle Up: This is good news for the Dolphins, but he might not be a wise IDP start this week if he's going to have limited duty.

Miami Dolphins DE Cameron Wake (knee) has been diagnosed with a mild medial collateral ligament. Wake suffered the injury during the team's Week 3 game. Wake could sit out some practice time this week and his status for Week 4 will be determined later in the week.
Huddle Up: This is unfortunate for his IDP owners. There are conflicting reports about whether he might miss a couple of weeks. This also hampers Miami's defense as a whole, given he is their best defensive player.
