Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (ankle) said he believes he'll return in time for the regular season. Haden wasn't so sure about training camp, but said he'll try to be ready in time when that starts in late July. As reported earlier, Haden shed his walking boot Tuesday, May 17.
Huddle Up: IDP alert as Haden is coming off an extremely rough year in which he was limited to five games and two passes defensed.

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (ankle) was upset when he learned that he might not be ready for the start of the 2016 season, according to head coach Hue Jackson, and Jackson said Haden is working his 'tail off' to be ready.
Huddle Up: The two-time Pro Bowler was limited to five starts and two passes defensed a year ago, and it sounds like he has a lot of work ahead to be ready for the opener. Stay tuned, IDP owners ...

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (concussion) is ready to play after missing the last two games with a concussion. Haden added that he wants to play the entire game, not split repetitions with fellow CB Pierre Desir.
Huddle Up: Welcome news for Haden's IDP-league owners, Meanwhile, this typically would be just the opposite kind of info for the opposition's top receiver, but the Cardinals have a trio of potent WR weapons in Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown and Michael Floyd so Haden and the Browns will have to pick and choose Sunday.

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden was inactive in Week 4 against the San Diego Chargers with a broken right ring finger after he was initially listed as probable on the injury report. He decided not to play after testing his hand in pregame warmups. CB Pierre Desir started in Haden's place. Haden's status for Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens is unknown. 'Hopefully Joe will get more comfortable with the finger injury so we can get him back out there,' head coach Mike Pettine said.
Huddle Up: Philip Rivers was able to take advantage of Haden's absence last Sunday, throwing for a season-high three TD passes and 358 yards in leading the Bolts to a 30-27 win. See what Haden is able to do in practice this week.

The Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, May 13 agreed to terms with CB Joe Haden on a new contact that will keep him with the team through the 2019 season. The deal includes a $14 million signing bonus, $22 million fully guaranteed at signing and another $23 million guaranteed for injury. In all, the deal will pay him $58 million total with $45 million in total guarantees.
Huddle Up: With Haden locked up and the selection of Justin Gilbert with the 8th overall pick in last week's draft, the Browns suddenly have one of the league's top CB tandems after ranking a respectable 8th against the pass this past season with 221.1 yards allowed per game.

The Cleveland Browns have been working on a long-term deal with CB Joe Haden.
Huddle Up: This would be a smart move for the Browns franchise, one that might direct attention away from the front-office circus.

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (hip) is still getting treatment for his hip pointer. The injury is still not where it needs to be.
Huddle Up: IDP owners -- and those who own the Steelers' Antonio Brown -- take note.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (hip) suffered a hip pointer in the Week 15 game against the Chicago Bears, according to head coach Rob Chudzinski. The coach said the team will know more about the severity after Haden is evaluated Monday, Dec. 16.
Huddle Up: Monitor Haden throughout the week. He was burned by Brandon Marshall this week, but he is still one of the best cornerbacks in the league. The Browns get the Jets next week, so it might not matter much.

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (oblique) missed practice Friday, Nov. 16, and will be a game-time decision for Week 11.
Huddle Up: Cleveland has had a quietly solid defense since Haden returned from suspension, so this is big news for the Browns. It is even bigger fantasy news for Dez Bryant's and/or Miles Austin's potential output this weekend. Check Haden's status over the weekend.

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden returns from his suspension in Week 6, and he is looking forward to lining up against Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green. Haden's suspension began in Week 2, when the Browns played the Bengals in Cincinnati. Green had seven catches for 58 yards and a touchdown; however, Haden's absence had a domino effect on the secondary that resulted in three touchdown passes for QB Andy Dalton. Green had big plays in both games against the Browns last season, and Haden is looking for payback. "I definitely feel like (I owe him one)," Haden said. "I honestly put him with the top--no, at the top--of the receivers I've played against. Because he does a little bit of everything. I've played against Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson. I like A.J. (ahead of them)."
Huddle Up: Green has been the best wideout in fantasy football thus far this year, but a date with his long-time nemesis is bound to keep his numbers a little more in check. Still, the track record suggests A.J. will hit on at least one big play--more than enough upside to keep Green in your lineup despite the matchup.
