Los Angeles Chargers TE Virgil Green is starting to find his groove with new QB Philip Rivers in the team's passing game. '(Our connection) is growing,' Rivers said Wednesday, Aug. 8. 'We're working through how I like things, what I'm expecting on certain routes. He's getting a feel for this offense.'
Huddle Up: Green has been known mostly as a blocking tight end in the past, but he is locked in as the team's No. 1 tight end and expected to see more targets than ever before. However, until he proves he is an effective weapon in the passing game, he should be treated more as a low-end TE2 with some potential.

Denver Broncos TEs A.J. Derby (concussion) and Virgil Green (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 23, and are not expected to play in Week 16 versus the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Denver7's Troy Renck.
Huddle Up: Neither likely absence is all that big from an individual fantasy perspective, but the Broncos struggle for offense enough at full strength, so being without their top two tight ends is a boost for the Chiefs' defense/special teams unit. Jeff Heuerman will likely get the start in their place, but he is well off the fantasy radar.

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 12, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.
Huddle Up: Green will be returning after missing the last few games and should be in the starting lineup. He has recorded 74 yards in his two games played this season, but owners probably can find better options to use in their lineups.

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) participated fully in practice Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Huddle Up: Green has been more involved this year when he's been on the field, but it might be best to wait it out with Green in Week 6. He's in TE2 territory even when he's full go.

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 5 game.
Huddle Up: John Phillips and Jeff Heuerman should continue to see playing time at tight end with Green out, but neither player is a great fantasy option.

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 7, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.
Huddle Up: Green has missed the last two games because of the injury, so owners will need to check the inactive list to see if he will play. Green will have a role in the passing game when he returns but probably can be avoided by owners this week because of his uncertain status.

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) is considered day-to-day with a calf injury.
Huddle Up: Green has been more involved in the passing game this year when he's been healthy. His progress will need to be monitored throughout the week, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't necessarily been accommodating to tight ends this year. Green will still be a backup fantasy tight end if he does play.

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 22.
Huddle Up: Green is shaping up to be a touchdown-dependent option this year, and the injury further limits his appeal. He should be avoided in standard formats in Week 3.

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (calf) did not participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.
Huddle Up: Green has a modest seven catches on eight targets for 74 yards through the first two games of the season, but he is a potential mismatch in the red zone with some fantasy upside. He's not a slam-dunk starter from week to week, but Green is a solid TE2 and matchup play for daily contests and those who stream the position.
