Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) will have arthroscopic surgery on his hip Tuesday, Dec. 7, that will end his season.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip, groin) is not expected to return to action this season from a hip subluxation, according to multiple sources. He is reportedly still dealing with pain and swelling in the hip and groin area and has been focused more on treatment rather than rehab and working out in order to return to the football field.
Huddle Up: Taylor Heinicke will continue to serve as Washington's starting quarterback but shouldn't be a starting fantasy option outside of deeper two-quarterback leagues.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his hip in two weeks so the team can check on his progress, according to head coach Ron Rivera.
Huddle Up: Fitzpatrick does not appear to be close to returning to the active roster, so Taylor Heinicke will continue to be the starting quarterback for Washington. Heinicke has posted decent numbers but can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) is still relying on crutches to get around and is not close to returning to action, according to multiple sources. He is expected to undergo an MRI exam in the next few weeks and appears unlikely to return before the team's Week 9 bye on Nov. 7.
Huddle Up: Fitzpatrick's rehab process has not moved as quickly as initially hoped and there is a possibility that he won't return to the field this season. Taylor Heinicke will continue to serve as Washington's No. 1 quarterback in the interim and can be a starting option in two-quarterback fantasy leagues.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) could be cleared to return in Week 7, and the team is eager to get him back. It could be as depth, however, as QB Taylor Heinicke's support continues to grow within the team.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) will attempt to rehab his injured hip without surgery for now, sources said Thursday, Sept. 16. Fitzpatrick is still expected to miss at least eight weeks.
Huddle Up: Always somewhat of a risky move if surgery does need to be performed later and further delays his return, but for now it looks to be the Taylor Heinicke Show until at least November.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) did not participate in practice Tuesday, Sept. 14. RB Antonio Gibson (shoulder) was practiced in full.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) did not participate in practice Monday, Sept. 13. RB Antonio Gibson (shoulder) was limited. Washington did not practice Monday, so the report is an estimation.

Updating a previous report, Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks with the hip subluxation he suffered in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Huddle Up: Taylor Heinicke is the next man up and well worth considering as a QB2 option in superflex leagues. There's not a ton of film on him outside of his impressive performance in last year's Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Heinicke is like Fitzpatrick in that he is a bit of a gunslinger who can pick up some yards with his feet. If he fares well with this audition, there is a strong possibility he will hold onto the starting job even after Fitzpatrick is cleared to return.
