Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick's chances of returning to the team next season are 'slim and none,' according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Huddle Up: Fitzpatrick has played some of the best ball of his career in Miami, but neither the NFL nor the Dolphins are going to change their opinion about him being anything more than a bridge quarterback, especially after turning 38 years old in November. The Dolphins also would prefer Tua Tagovailoa not having to look over his shoulder, which may be the biggest consideration of all. Look for Fitzpatrick to find yet another employer this offseason.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who will be among the team's unrestricted free agents this offseason, is likely to be asked to return. However, the 38-year-old has been non-committal about whether he wants to play in the 2021 season.
Huddle Up: "Fitz-magic" was effective at times, and he also served as a mentor for rookie Tua Tagovailoa. Whether he returns to the organization or moves along to play somewhere else, he would still only be a No. 2 QB in most fantasy leagues at this juncture of his career.

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (illness) has tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, Dec. 31, and will miss the team's regular-season finale Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, according to a source.
Huddle Up: Tough news for the Dolphins as their veteran ace in the hole won't be available if needed to save the day Sunday in a must-win game against the Bills.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (unknown) was not spotted Thursday, Dec. 31, during the team's practice.
Huddle Up: Fitzpatrick practiced fully Wednesday and isn't scheduled to start, but something to keep an eye on nonetheless after his late-game heroics in Week 16, saved the day for the Dolphins.

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa was replaced by QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in the fourth quarter against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16. He completed 17 of his 22 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown and rushed three times for 11 yards in a 26-25 win.
Huddle Up: Tagovailoa wasn't able to push the ball down the field, resulting in the quarterback swap with the Dolphins trailing late. The rookie is still too inconsistent to trust as a fantasy starter, especially with the Dolphins fighting for a playoff spot.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick went 24-for-39 for 257 yards and two touchdowns against the New York Jets in Week 12.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation over the next week to see if Fitzpatrick or Tua Tagovailoa will be the starter for Week 13. The starter will have a favorable matchup and could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is likely to start Sunday, Nov. 29, in the Week 12 game against the New York Jets after QB Tua Tagovailoa (thumb) was downgraded to doubtful Saturday.
Huddle Up: Fitzpatrick is a definite QB1 consideration if he indeed is thrust back into a starting role Sunday. Fitz averaged 23.7 fantasy points in his six starts, which would place him ninth among current healthy QBs. He'll also be facing the Jets -- the fourth-friendliest fantasy matchup for opposing QBs -- so jump on the chance to start Fitzpatrick if you're hurting at QB this week.

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't being shopped for a trade, according to a source with direct knowledge Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Huddle Up: Fitzpatrick would definitely have at least some measure of fantasy value on any one of the NFL's current QB-needy teams, but it appears he'll be staying in Miami to mentor rookie Tua Tagovailoa. It will help Tagovailoa, but it's a shame for fantasy managers in two-QB leagues.
