Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) will attempt to rehab his injured hip without surgery for now, sources said Thursday, Sept. 16. Fitzpatrick is still expected to miss at least eight weeks.
Huddle Up: Always somewhat of a risky move if surgery does need to be performed later and further delays his return, but for now it looks to be the Taylor Heinicke Show until at least November.

Updating a previous report, Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) is expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks with the hip subluxation he suffered in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Huddle Up: Taylor Heinicke is the next man up and well worth considering as a QB2 option in superflex leagues. There's not a ton of film on him outside of his impressive performance in last year's Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Heinicke is like Fitzpatrick in that he is a bit of a gunslinger who can pick up some yards with his feet. If he fares well with this audition, there is a strong possibility he will hold onto the starting job even after Fitzpatrick is cleared to return.

Updating earlier reports, Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) had an MRI confirm a hip subluxation Monday, Sept. 13, and he'll be placed on the Reserve/Injured list. There is no indication that it's a season-ending injury yet.
Huddle Up: Taylor Heinicke is only worth picking up in leagues that start two quarterbacks as he will be asked to manage the game and minimize mistakes. Fitzpatrick looks to be out for at least a month, but you can cut bait on him in most leagues.

Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) has a hip subluxation that will keep him out for several weeks. He'll have an MRI Monday, Sept. 13, to determine how much damage he suffered when the hip knocked out of place. The team will go with QB Taylor Heinicke as the starter. Fitzpatrick is a candidate for the Reserve/Injured list.
Huddle Up: Heinicke is only worth picking up in leagues that start two quarterbacks. There will be Cam Newton rumors, but the team plans to stay in house for now.

Updating previous reports, Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) will not return to the Week 1 game because of his hip injury.
Huddle Up: Fitzpatrick's status for Week 2 is uncertain at this point, but fantasy players should know more about his status later in the week. Taylor Heinicke is next in line for the starting job but should be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous report, Washington Football Team QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) suffered a hip injury during the Week 1 game and is considered questionable to return.
Huddle Up: Fitzgerald likely will not be able to return to the game and his status for Week 2 is uncertain. Fantasy players can monitor the situation to see if Fitzgerald or Taylor Heinicke will start next week, but neither quarterback should be a starting option in most leagues.
