New England Patriots restricted free-agent WR Jakobi Meyers received a second-round tender Sunday, March 13, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. The Patriots will not tender FB Jakob Johnson, which makes him an unrestricted free agent.

New England Patriots restricted free-agent WR Jakobi Meyers may have contract extension talks with the Patriots before the start of free agency. Meyers likely will receive the second-round tender if the two sides are not able to reach an agreement before free agency.
Huddle Up: Meyers was the main receiver for the Patriots this season and should have a solid role next season even if the Patriots add a wide receiver or two this offseason. He can be a late round pick in fantasy leagues next season.
