Miami Dolphins RB Patrick Laird faces the New York Giants in Week 15, and the Giants have allowed the fifth-most points and sixth-most yards per game to opponents this season.
Huddle Up: Laird hasn't shown much explosiveness since taking over the starting role, but he has piled up 33 touches over the last two games and managed a career-high 86 yards against the New York Jets in Week 14. Facing the shaky defense of the Giants, Laird should at least be a volume-based flex play.

Miami Dolphins RB Patrick Laird rushed 15 times for 48 yards in Week 14 against the New York Jets and he added four receptions for 38 yards on five targets.
Huddle Up: The former Cal standout is getting his chance and he did OK, but not great. Only fantasy owners desperate for running back help in deeper leagues will want to take a look at Laird in Week 15.

Miami Dolphins RB Patrick Laird is 'the favorite to lead the backfield in touches' against the New York Jets in Week 14, according to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com.
Huddle Up: Laird had 48 yards on 14 touches against the Eagles in Week 13, and he should be in line for a similar workload against the Jets. He has some appeal as a volume-based flex option in deeper leagues.

Miami Dolphins RB Patrick Laird rushed 10 times for five yards and caught four passes for 43 yards in a 37-31 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13.
Huddle Up: Laird ended up leading the Miami backfield in carries and total touches after Kalen Ballage left with a leg injury. If Ballage misses more time, Laird could a volume-based flex candidate.

Miami Dolphins RB Patrick Laird will not be the starter in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles, as head coach Brian Flores confirmed RB Kalen Ballage will continue to start. However, Laird saw 23 snaps in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns, to just 24 for Ballage.
Huddle Up: Laird is gaining on Ballage, and it might only be a matter of time before he surpasses Ballage in terms of playing time. Keep in mind, former Washington Huskies standout Myles Gaskin is also in the mix, seeing 16 snaps against the Browns. It's a three-headed monster in the backfield which is bad news for fantasy owners. Until a clear-cut No. 1 emerges, avoid the situation completely.
