Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones caught five passes for 43 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. He was targeted six times during the game.
Huddle Up: Jones has caught nine of his 10 targets this season but has been held to under 55 yards in both games. He will continue to see a solid amount of targets but probably is only a flex option in some leagues.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) returned to practice Thursday, July 25.
Huddle Up: Kenny Golladay will likely be the go-to target in the passing game, but Jones should see plenty of targets in his own right. He could be a sneaky WR3 available who is still on the board in the middle rounds.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) is likely to remain with the club through the start of the season, in the opinion of the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett, who writes he 'can't imagine' the Lions trading him at this point. Birkett does add, however, that if the team is struggling come October they could revisit dealing Jones.
Huddle Up: Jones' contract is a good one, and as Birkett points out, the Lions would be hard pressed to find similar production at that salary. That being said, Birkett does reiterate that Jones isn't a Matt Patricia guy, and trade rumors -- like the one that made the rounds recently about Jones to the Redskins in a swap for Josh Doctson -- are bound to keep coming up. Given his upside, Jones could represent solid late-round value.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) has been sitting out individual and team drills during OTAs.
Huddle Up: He was initially expected to be ready for OTAs, but it still doesn't sound like there is any concern about his long-term health. Jones figures to slot behind Kenny Golladay in the pecking order in 2019, but he should still have a solid role in the passing attack. He could still be a WR3 candidate for fantasy owners.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) is expected to be a full participant in the team's offseason program after undergoing knee surgery that ended his 2018 season.
Huddle Up: Although he was inconsistent along the way, Jones was having a season on par with his breakout 2017 campaign before going down for the count in Week 10. Head coach Matt Patricia was reportedly vague when asked if he expected Jones to return to his pre-injury form once healthy, but the fact he will likely get cleared for the offseason program bodes well. Fantasy owners should consider him as a high-end WR3 until further notice.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones could be 'expendable' this offseason because of the emergence of WR Kenny Golladay, according to Nate Atkins of MLive.com.
Huddle Up: If the Lions do move on from Jones, Golladay should deliver another 1,000-yard campaign in 2019 and have a great shot at WR2 production as the centerpiece of Detroit's passing attack. Jones could still be a useful fantasy option in his own right, but his value would depend on his landing spot.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) is being placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Nov. 26.
Huddle Up: It's a big blow for a Lions offense that has struggled. Kenny Golladay will continue to serve as Detroit's No. 1 wide receiver, but Bruce Ellington is a solid addition off waivers if he's still available. Furthermore, Theo Riddick's usage in the passing game will remain steady.

Updating previous reports, Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) could return for Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: The Lions will have to be on point offensively in that game, and Jones could be a high-end WR3.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Nov. 21, and he has been ruled out for Week 12.
Huddle Up: Jones' absence opens up looks for Bruce Ellington, who had a 6-52-0 line on nine targets last week. He's questionable, too, with a back ailment. If he's fit to go, he's a sneaky flex play.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (knee) was not able to practice Tuesday, Nov. 20.
Huddle Up: It would be a surprise at this point if Jones were able to take the field on Thanksgiving Day. If he is indeed out then Kenny Golladay would hold his low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 status with Bruce Ellington garnering flex appeal.
