Arizona Cardinals RB Tyler Allgeier said he thinks he is a good fit for Arizona's outside zone scheme, but the team has not discussed how carries will be divided.
Huddle Up: Allgeier will join James Conner and Trey Benson in the backfield, but both Conner and Benson are coming off injuries. Allgeier showed promise during his time as Bijan Robinson's backup in Atlanta, so he knows how to be productive while working in a committee. That being said, it will likely take Conner missing time for Allgeier to have a featured role.

Free-agent RB Tyler Allgeier (Falcons) officially signed with the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, March 12.
Huddle Up: Allgeier joins a backfield with James Conner and Trey Benson, but given the injury history of both incumbents, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Allgeier lead the Arizona ground attack in 2026. If he secures the lead role, a RB2 finish could be on tap for Allgeier.

Impending free-agent RB Tyler Allgeier (Falcons) has reportedly agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals on a two-year, $12.25 million deal, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network on Monday, March 9.
Huddle Up: Allgeier has been one of the better backup running backs in the NFL over his four seasons, and he saw a heavy volume of carries in his rookie season, notching 1,035 yards with the Falcons in 2022. However, his carries and opportunities have lessened with the arrival of Bijan Robinson in the Falcons' backfield. Allgeier now links up with the Arizona Cardinals, where he'll vie for a starting opportunity. For fantasy football, opportunity is king for running backs, and Allgeier has shown glimpses of efficiency and touchdown-scoring ability. Allgeier's fantasy value is still a bit up in the air, but he should be ahead of the pack in Arizona as a mid-range RB2 with upside.

Atlanta Falcons impending free-agent RB Tyler Allgeier is seeking a contract "in the neighborhood of three years, $22 million this offseason", in the opinion of The Athletic's Josh Kendall.

However, his carries and opportunities have lessened with the arrival of Bijan Robinson in the Falcons' backfield. Set to hit free agency in March, Allgeier is clearly looking for a starting opportunity. Pay attention to his landing spot come free agency, as Allgeier's fantasy value is directly tied to where he ends up in 2026.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier rushed for 16 yards on seven carries against the New Orleans Saints in Week 18. He also caught one pass for three yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Allgeier will be a free agent this offseason, so fantasy players will need to see if he will return to the Falcons or join a new team. He may not be able to find a starting job but likely will have a solid role for a team in 2026. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 running back in fantasy leagues depending on his situation.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier posted 10 rushes for 23 yards in a Week 17 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
Huddle Up: Allgeier continues to be a very hit-or-miss option, sandwiching a 18-yard effort in Week 15 and Monday night's 23-yard outing around a 79-yard outburst in Week 16. While not the most reliable in terms of usage, his 10 carries on Monday marked the ninth time this season he's hit double digits. Allgeier plays enough to hold some risky flex value, at least in larger leagues.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier rushed 16 times for 79 yards and lost six yards on his only reception in a 26-19 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16.
Huddle Up: Allgeier actually tied Bijan Robinson for the team lead in carries, but in games where the Falcons can play from ahead, Allgeier tends to be busier. Throw in his eight touchdowns this year, and Allgeier has flex potential in deeper formats, even as a backup.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier had two carries for 18 yards in a Week 15 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Huddle Up: Everyone should know the deal with Allgeier by now. He's a capable short-yardage back, and if the Falcons get teams in a hole, they like to lean on them with his physical style. When they play from behind, however, Allgeier is a non-factor. That's how a back with eight rushing TDs on the season (tied for seventh-most in the NFL) can also have six games with fewer than five carries. He's a weekly wildcard that can be worth the risk as your flex, depending on your other options.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier rushed for 34 yards on 11 carries against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14. He also caught two passes for 33 yards during the game.
Huddle Up: Allgeier has received at least 10 carries in three of the last five games and has become more involved in the passing game over the last two weeks. He should see a decent amount of touches next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and can be a flex option in most leagues.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier rushed eight times for 20 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the New York Jets, and he added two receptions for 35 yards on his two targets.
Huddle Up: Allgeier has 20 or fewer rushing yards in two of his past three games, and five of the past seven outings. However, he has scored five rushing touchdowns in the span, and eight touchdowns overall this season. He is worth a look as a RB3 or flex fantasy option as long as he scores fairly regularly.
