Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young completed five of his six passes for 49 yards in the preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Friday, Aug. 21.
Huddle Up: Young made improvements in his third season, showing signs of becoming a reliable starter. If he can maintain the same level of play that he displayed at the end of 2025, Young should be a decent QB2 option. If he makes another leap, he could be a surprise QB1.

Huddle Up: While Young saw some brief action, he was one of the few Carolina starters to suit up. There is some optimism surrounding Young after his improved play down the stretch of 2025, but it remains to be seen if he can deliver solid results for an entire year. For now, Young should still be considered a midrange QB2.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young will play in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 15, on the road against the Buffalo Bills. Head coach Dave Canales said Young and the starters will play 10-20 plays depending on how the drives develop.
Huddle Up: While Young threw for 3,011 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns and 11 interceptions, while running for 216 yards and two more scores, easily his best overall production in three NFL seasons, the jury is still out on his long-term viability. For fantasy purposes, he is still solid entrenched as a low-end QB2 in most leagues. He should only be drafted in deeper leagues, or those formats which starter two quarterbacks.
