Buffalo Bills QB Matt Barkley is being prepared to start Sunday against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5, according to head coach Sean McDermott Monday, Sept. 30, as starter Josh Allen (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol.
Huddle Up: Barkley wouldn't be worth fantasy consideration in standard formats in a moderately tough matchup. He's nothing more than a low-tier QB2 with only the Miami Dolphins (Josh Rosen) and Detroit Lions (Matthew Stafford) on bye.

Buffalo Bills QB Matt Barkley went 15-for-25 for 232 yards and two touchdowns against the New York Jets in Week 10.
Huddle Up: Barkley played well this week but may not receive another start with Josh Allen working his way back from his elbow injury. There is a good chance that Allen starts in Week 12 but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) has been ruled out of the Week 10 game. QB Matt Barkley is expected to be the starting quarterback against the New York Jets.
Huddle Up: Allen is working his way back from the elbow injury but is probably a week away from returning. Barkley should not be a starting option in any league.

Chicago Bears QB Matt Barkley completed 10 of his 14 pass attempts for 125 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Huddle Up: Barkley showed some glimpses of brilliance subbing for the injured Jay Cutler and Brian Hoyer down the stretch, but this was a terrible finish. His future in this league is likely as a backup, and he doesn't look to have much fantasy value going into 2017.

Chicago Bears QB Matt Barkley completed 30 of his 43 pass attempts for 362 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in the Week 15 game against the Green Bay Packers.
Huddle Up: Barkley has two 300-yard performances in the past four games, and he has at least one touchdown pass in three of his past four. The one poor game was a snow-marred win against the San Francisco 49ers. He isn't quite a QB1, but he is a strong QB2 fantasy option in leagues using two starting signal callers.
