Free-agent OT Joshua Miles and S Alex Cook signed Reserve/Future contracts with the Chicago Bears Wednesday, Jan. 22. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

The Carolina Panthers re-signed free-agent S Alex Cook to the practice squad on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Smith (undisclosed) were waived/injured while LB Amare Barno (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list. The team also placed LB Tae Davis (undisclosed) and LB Cam Gill (undisclosed) on the Reserve/Injured list.

Carolina Panthers LB Claudin Cherelus (knee), LB Justin Houston (hamstring) and WR Laviska Shenault Jr. (ankle) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 9 versus the Indianapolis Colts. S Vonn Bell (quad) was limited in practice all week and is listed as doubtful. WR DJ Chark Jr. (elbow) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day on Friday, Nov. 3, and is listed as questionable. CB Donte Jackson (quad) was added to the injury report despite practicing in full on Friday and is also listed as questionable.
