Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff was not injured in the third quarter of the Rams' Week 10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers as previously thought when Blake Bortles came on to replace him for a play. Instead, head coach Sean McVay told reporters Monday, Nov. 11, that Bortles' third-and-2 run was designed for Bortles.
Huddle Up: It's impossible to know for sure if this will be a one-time occurrence or the first hint McVay isn't happy with the way Goff is running the offense, but the Rams appear to be searching for answers on offense. This is likely much ado about nothing, but it's something to keep an eye on moving forward if Goff continues to struggle. Consider him a low-floor, high-upside QB2 in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles is expected to released before March 17 when he is due a $1 million roster bonus, in the opinion of a team beat writer.
Huddle Up: Blake Bortles had his QB1 fantasy moments over the last few seasons in J'ville, but he's likely headed for a stint of backup duty in a new locale.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles will remain with the team for now, a source said Friday, March 8, but that could change next week if the Jaguars land a free-agent quarterback.
Huddle Up: It looks as if Bortles avoided the Jags' roster purge Friday, but his days in J'ville -- and fantasy relevancy for the time being -- are down to a precious few.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles believes he'll be elsewhere in 2019, saying, 'I don't think I'll be back next year. Being honest, I envision I'll be somewhere else next year.' It's also possible the Jaguars may delay cutting him until 2020, when his dead cap hit would be just $5 million instead of $16.5 million this offseason.
Huddle Up: Despite coming up just one game short of the Super Bowl only a year ago, Bortles couldn't survive this season as the starting quarterback, losing the job to backup Cody Kessler due to inconsistency. The former No. 3 overall draft pick seems more likely to leave town and compete for a starting job elsewhere.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles 15-for-28 for 107 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception against the Houston Texans in Week 17. He also rushed for 15 yards on four carries during the game.
Huddle Up: Bortles likely will not return to the Jaguars next season and will have trouble finding another starting job. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues next season even if he starts for a team.

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles is starting in Week 17 on Sunday, Dec. 30, in what's likely his last game with the team.
Huddle Up: Bortles has topped 20 fantasy points in only two of his last six starts and even with with the inactives and uncertainty of Week 17, Bortles is nothing more than a two-QB or deep-league QB flyer.
