Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (back) said Thursday, Sept. 20, he play in the Week 3 game against the New York Giants after spending Week 2 on the inactive list.
Huddle Up: It's been a rough start to the season so far for Clowney, who had only two total tackles in the opener against the Patriots. Facing the Giants' struggling offensive line, though, could be an elixir as N.Y. yielded nine tackles for loss, including six sacks, in the Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) said Wednesday, Aug. 17, his knee is no longer an issue, and he's ready to play.
Huddle Up: Hopefully this means he will finally have a chance to live up to his lofting billing. Clowney is a marginal fantasy consideration in IDP leagues until he shows consistency and proves health isn't an issue.

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) is still on track to play in the season opener Sunday, Sept. 13, but head coach Bill O'Brien would not say whether Clowney will start or how much time he would see.
Huddle Up: Continued good news for the former No. 1 overall pick, and now it will be a matter of how the knee holds up as the reps increase.

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) will not play in either of the final two preseason games but is on track for the start of the regular season, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.
Huddle Up: No real surprise here as the Texans don't want to see the former No. 1 overall pick's progress ruined by a setback in a meaningless game.

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) has been ruled out for the third preseason game.
Huddle Up: The Texans aren't going to take any chances with Clowney. They're hoping to have him back for Week 1. It's doubtful Clowney plays in the preseason.

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) has been activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list. Clowney has increased his activity since he began practicing again earlier this week.
Huddle Up: Clowney looked good during his individual drills on Hard Knocks, and perhaps we'll get a glimpse of him on the field Saturday night against the Broncos.

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) said he feels pretty good after he participated in practice on a limited basis Monday, Aug. 17. He did not wear a brace on his surgically repaired knee and did not have any soreness in the knee. Clowney will be limited to individual work until the doctors and coaches believe he is ready for more.
Huddle Up: The Texans don't really know when to expect Clowney back on the field but when he does return he'll make one of the NFL's best defenses even better. The Texans are already one of the top fantasy defenses without Clowney.

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) could return to practice by Monday, Aug. 17, but head coach Bill O'Brien said the team will not rush him back if he is not ready to practice.
Huddle Up: It remains a frustratingly slow road back for the 2014 No. 1 overall pick, who's played in only four NFL games so far. Don't start forecasting any IDP production for him until he starts showing some tangible on-field progress.

Houston Texans LB Jadeveon Clowney (knee) is expected to return to the field Monday, Aug. 17, according to Texans head coach Bill O'Brien.
Huddle Up: Clowney is recovering from microfracture surgery and his availability for Week 1 is still unclear. However, it's a positive sign that he's expected back soon. Clowney's presence makes an already strong Texans' defensive front even more formidable.
