Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady announced his retirement Wednesday, Feb. 1.
Huddle Up: Brady wanted to play until he was 45, and he did just that and took most of the major records for quarterbacks with him. The Bucs will face the decision of either rebuilding or getting a veteran stopgap to try to make another run in a weak NFC for the next couple of years.

The Miami Dolphins are not expected to pursue Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady in free agency this offseason, if he chooses to continue his playing career, according to multiple league sources. The Dolphins are committed to using QB Tua Tagovailoa as their starter for the 2023 season.
Huddle Up: If Brady decides to return for another season, multiple NFL clubs are expected to have interest, even though he will turn 46 in August. He ranked among the top 10 quarterbacks in touchdowns and passing yards in 2022 and can be viewed as a low-end QB1 or high-end QB2 option in 2023 fantasy leagues.

Huddle Up: Brady likely will have multiple teams interested in him if he hits the free-agent market. He still ranks in the top 10 in passing yards and passing touchdowns this season and can be a low-end No. 1 or a high-end No. 2 quarterback in fantasy leagues in 2023.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady is expected to take his time before making a decision about his future. However, some of his teammates believe he will not return to the club in 2023, based on their final interactions with him. One player stated, "I'd be surprised if he's back," while another said, "He sounded like a person saying goodbye for good."
Huddle Up: Brady, who will turn 46 before the start of the 2023 season, now appears more likely to join a new team via free agency or retire and begin a broadcasting job than to return to the Buccaneers for a fourth season. A final decision on his status for next year likely won't be known for several months.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady completed 35-of-66 passes for 351 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the NFC wild-card loss against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, Jan. 16.
Huddle Up: Let the speculation begin now. Is he done, and retiring from the NFL, heading to the press box as an announcer? Is he going to stay in Tampa Bay for another season? Or will he perhaps continue his illustrious career with one more championship run with another organization? Brady had an erratic season, but he had some giant performances, and showed he isn't quite washed yet. If he returns in 2023, he can be a low-end QB1 in some fantasy formats of 12 or more teams.
