Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 13, and has been ruled out for Week 2.
Huddle Up: Jordan Akins likely will be the starting tight end while Njoku is sidelined and probably will see a few targets in the passing game. Fantasy players likely can find better options and can avoid Akins.

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 2, head coach Kevin Stefanski said on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Huddle Up: The next man up on the depth chart is Jordan Akins, who does have some history with Deshaun Watson from their days together in Houston. However, with Watson's struggles, and with it being so early in the season, you can probably find a better option on the waiver wire.

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (ankle) is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys, sources said Sunday, Sept. 8. He'll undergo further testing Monday, Sept. 9 to confirm.
Huddle Up: If Njoku is sidelined, and with a high-ankle sprain, that's likely a weeks-long injury, Jordan Akins would likely slide into the starting lineup in his stead in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
