Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Russell Gage Jr. (knee) is expected to miss the 2023 season with an unspecified knee injury suffered at practice, per source on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
Huddle Up: Gage's absence clears a path to more snaps for rookie WR Trey Palmer but he's still no better than No. 4 in the pass-catcher pecking order behind WRs Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and TE Cade Otton. Palmer is someone to stash in dynasty formats but isn't a suggested option in re-draft leagues.

Gage doesn't figure to provide much fantasy value in 2023 outside of being a handcuff option for Evans and Godwin, assuming both are back.
