Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer was placed on the Reserve/Retired list Monday, Feb. 5.

Huddle Up: The Cardinals will be looking for a new starting quarterback this offseason and probably will acquire a veteran in free agency or a trade. Owners should keep an eye on the situation because their quarterback has a chance to be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in some leagues.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer announced his retirement Tuesday, Jan. 2, after 15 seasons in the NFL.

Huddle Up: It's a logical move and makes quarterback a top priority for the Cardinals this offseason. They'll have a chance to draft one in what is a deep quarterback draft class, but the bigger question now is what will Larry Fitzgerald do? He can succeed with anyone as he's proven over his career, but he and Palmer had some of the best chemistry in the league after playing together for five years.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) will be the team's starting quarterback in 2018 if he decides to play, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

Huddle Up: This is only of interest to those in keeper leagues, though Arians is still hoping Palmer will play the final two games in 2017. Either way, Palmer tops out as a reserve these days.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) is not sure if he will return this season, but he said he continues to prepare as if he will be back. 'We've got another three weeks before I think I can practice, but I feel great,' Palmer said Friday, Dec. 1.

Huddle Up: Palmer is still a longshot to return, and even if he does come back late in the season, there is no reason to expect him to help out fantasy teams.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) has not made the progress he was expected to make in his rehabilitation and is not expected to return this season, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

Huddle Up: Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert will continue to man the Cardinals' offense this year. It's unclear what Palmer's football future holds; he'll be 38 years old at the end of the year. Either way, Palmer can be dropped if he hasn't been already.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) recently had his cast removed from his injured arm, according to head coach Bruce Arians. It has already been said that Palmer could return later this season.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: The Cardinals could certainly use Palmer back in their huddle, although Blaine Gabbert held his own last week. It may be worth holding on to Palmer for the fantasy playoffs. He'll have a favorable matchup in Week 16 versus the New York Giants if he returns by then.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) didn't rule out a Week 16 return. 'I could potentially be available the last two weeks of the season,' Palmer said.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Even though there is a chance Palmer could return, he can be left on the waiver wire. If you are lucky enough to reach the fantasy playoffs, trusting a returning Palmer would be a recipe for a quick exit.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Oct. 26.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Palmer will be out at least eight weeks and has a chance to return for the last few games of the season, but owners should drop him in all leagues. Drew Stanton will take over as the starting quarterback but should be avoided in all leagues.

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) will have surgery to repair his broken arm Wednesday, Oct. 25, according to a source. He hopes to return quicker than the eight-week window.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Palmer should be dropped in most formats, and his replacement, Drew Stanton, isn't much of an option outside of two-QB leagues.
Posted: 10/24/2017 4:16 am GMT
Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (arm) believes he may be able to return in four to six weeks, according to head coach Bruce Arians. Arians said the team will wait to see what the doctors say but that Palmer could be designated to return if he is placed on the Reserve/Injured list.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: It appears that Palmer will be out at least a month and probably will be out longer. Drew Stanton will be the starting quarterback for the time being but should not be an option in any fantasy leagues and likely will hurt the fantasy value of the Cardinals pass catchers.
