New York Giants QB Eli Manning is retiring, but he won't be eligible to be placed on the reserve/retired list due to his expiring contract this offseason. That means Manning will be eligible to sign and play for the Giants or any other team in 2020, free of restriction and/or having to go through waivers.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning will 'most likely' retire after this season, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.

Huddle Up: With the Giants committed to Daniel Jones at quarterback, Manning would almost certainly be on a different team in 2020 if he does decide to keep playing. However, he'd be a QB2, at best, even in the most ideal setting.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning completed 20-of-28 passes for 283 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins in another start.

Huddle Up: Manning got the victory in what might be his final start at home, although the Giants do have one more game remaining at MetLife Stadium. What is certain is that he is no longer a viable fantasy option in most leagues heading into Week 16 and beyond.

Updating a previous report, New York Giants QB Eli Manning will start a second straight game in Week 15 on Sunday, Dec. 15, with QB Daniel Jones (ankle) ruled out Friday, Dec. 15.

Huddle Up: Manning completed 15-of-30 passes for 203 yards and a pair of touchdowns -- both in the first half -- of the Week 14 overtime loss in Philly. He didn't do a whole lot in the second half, and the Giants never saw the ball in overtime, but he's a low-end QB2 possibility in a favorable matchup against the Dolphins if you're weighing possibilities in a two-QB league.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning returned to the starting lineup in Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles and he completed 15-of-30 passes for 203 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the overtime loss.

Huddle Up: Manning came off the bench and was sharp, particularly in the first half, and he nearly engineered the road upset. It's uncertain if he'll make another start or if the team goes right back to Daniel Jones once he is healthy again.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning will get the start in Week 14 on Monday, Dec. 9, against the the Philadelphia Eagles with QB Daniel Jones ruled out with an ankle injury.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: It will be Eli's first start since Week 2, and in those first two games, he threw for 306 and 250 yards with two TDs and two interceptions in losses to the Cowboys and Bills. He's a two-QB league consideration only except if you're desperate in a deeper league.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning is 'very likely' to start against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, Dec. 9, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: An ankle injury is the culprit for Daniel Jones, who is expected to give way to Manning on MNF. It would certainly be a nice moment if Manning stepped in and led his team to an upset win in prime time, but it seems unlikely given the team's overall struggles and Manning's before he got benched. He's not worth rolling the dice on.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning was benched in favor of rookie QB Daniel Jones for Week 3.

Huddle Up: Manning loses all fantasy value for now. It's possible he is traded or released and lands in a spot that could rejuvenate some spot-start potential.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning was not immediately named the starter for Week 3 by head coach Pat Shurmur while meeting with reporters Monday, Sept. 16.

Huddle Up: Manning hasn't been terrible thus far (556 yards passing, two touchdowns, two interceptions), especially considering most of his weapons are banged up at the moment. But the problem is it's unlikely to get any better for a player who has been a starting quarterback in the NFL for about three more years than he should have been. Rookie Daniel Jones may not get a start this week, but his time is coming. Neither quarterback will be anything more than a low-end QB2 at best for the foreseeable future.

New York Giants QB Eli Manning went 26-for-45 for 250 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2.
SOURCE: Not available
Huddle Up: Manning was without his top three receivers and struggled with interceptions this week. There is a good chance that Manning will lose his starting job at some point this season and should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.
