Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase caught four of his five targets for 35 yards in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Huddle Up: Fantasy managers were almost certain to pay a price for Chase missing most of training camp and they have, as the stud wideout has managed only 10 catches for 97 scoreless yards through two outings. The good news for him and his managers is that he gets two great upcoming matchups with the Washington Commanders and Carolina Panthers. It would be shocking if he doesn't post a WR1 performance in at least one of those contests.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase had game highs with six receptions for 62 yards in Week 1 against the New England Patriots, and he was targeted six times.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (illness) is officially active for the Week 1 game.
Huddle Up: Chase skipped most of training camp because of his contract situation, so he may see limited snaps this week. He is a risky option because of his time off but should still be a starting option in fantasy leagues since Tee Higgins is not available. He should be a reliable target for Joe Burrow during the game.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase is not expected to agree to a contract extension before the start of the regular season, and his availability for Week 1 is still uncertain, according to sources.
Huddle Up: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation because Chase could sit multiple games if he decides to skip Week 1. He is a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues when he is on the field, but players will need other options ready in case his holdout continues.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (rest) practiced in full on Friday, Sept. 6, but is listed as questionable for Week 1 versus the New England Patriots.
Huddle Up: Friday goes down as Chase's first full practice of the summer after a couple of limited sessions to begin the week, which followed one or two cameos at training camp. Chase already admitted he will likely be on a snap count if he plays - which is not a given at this point - which puts the Bengals in a predicament with Tee Higgins (hamstring) listed as doubtful. Worse yet for Chase and his fantasy managers - if he plays - is the likelihood he will line up opposite stud corner Christian Gonzalez for most of the day. Fantasy managers likely have no choice but to start Chase, but it could be a slow day at the office.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase will consider playing without a contract extension and called himself a game-time decision for Week 1 against the New England Patriots. He also said if he does play, that his role would be limited.
Huddle Up: A limited Chase is probably better than most options, but managers will want to downgrade him a bit if that's the case. With Tee Higgins (hamstring) trending in the wrong direction, the Bengals could be dealing with limitations at wide receiver. Andrei Iosivas becomes a more interesting dart throw if Higgins is out and Chase is limited.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase was in full uniform at the start of practice Friday, Sept. 6, amid a contract dispute.
Huddle Up: Chase appears to be on his way toward playing Week 1, barring a surprise turn of events. With Tee Higgins (hamstring) absent Friday, Chase should see an incredible target share in Week 1.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (rest) was limited at practice once again on Thursday, Sept. 5.
Huddle Up: Chase is still holding in as he waits for a new contract and there is no indication one way or the other if he plans on playing in Week 1 without one. Of course, if he does play, he should be in your lineup as an elite WR1. If he sits, Tee Higgins becomes a borderline WR1 play.
