The good news for him and his managers is that he gets two great upcoming matchups with the Washington Commanders and Carolina Panthers. It would be shocking if he doesn't post a WR1 performance in at least one of those contests.

He is a risky option because of his time off but should still be a starting option in fantasy leagues since Tee Higgins is not available. He should be a reliable target for Joe Burrow during the game.

Chase already admitted he will likely be on a snap count if he plays - which is not a given at this point - which puts the Bengals in a predicament with Tee Higgins (hamstring) listed as doubtful. Worse yet for Chase and his fantasy managers - if he plays - is the likelihood he will line up opposite stud corner Christian Gonzalez for most of the day. Fantasy managers likely have no choice but to start Chase, but it could be a slow day at the office.

Huddle Up: A limited Chase is probably better than most options, but managers will want to downgrade him a bit if that's the case. With Tee Higgins (hamstring) trending in the wrong direction, the Bengals could be dealing with limitations at wide receiver. Andrei Iosivas becomes a more interesting dart throw if Higgins is out and Chase is limited.

Huddle Up: Chase appears to be on his way toward playing Week 1, barring a surprise turn of events. With Tee Higgins (hamstring) absent Friday, Chase should see an incredible target share in Week 1.
