New York Jets QB Justin Fields is expected to be released this offseason if the team is not able to find a trade. The Jets will have $22 million in dead money on their salary cap if they move on from Fields.
Huddle Up: Fields has had multiple chances to start since entering the NFL, so he will likely have to settle for a backup job next season. Fantasy players can monitor his status during the offseason, but he is unlikely to be a starting option any fantasy league.

New York Jets QB Justin Fields (knee) has been declared inactive for the Week 16 game but will serve as the emergency No. 3 quarterback.
Huddle Up: It seems like Fields will not start another game this season since he is behind Brady Cook and Tyrod Taylor on the depth chart, so he should not be rostered in any fantasy leagues. Cook will continue to start for now but should not be a starting fantasy option.

New York Jets QB Justin Fields (knee) is not expected to be available for Week 16's game versus the New Orleans Saints. He had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited participant in all three of New York's practice sessions held during the week.
Huddle Up: QB Brady Cook will receive the starting nod for the Jets this week, with QB Tyrod Taylor (groin, knee) slated to serve as the backup. All Jets quarterbacks should be avoided for fantasy purposes going forward, especially with WR Garrett Wilson (knee) shut down for the remainder of the season.
