Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith worked with the first-team offense during practice Tuesday, May 31. QB Drew Lock worked with the second-team offense.
Huddle Up: Smith is considered the leading candidate at this point since he is more familiar with the offense. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation to see who wins the starting job. The Seahawks have two of the better receivers in the NFL, but their starting quarterback probably should only be seen as a No. 2 fantasy QB.

Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith has a small advantage over QB Drew Lock for the starting quarterback job at this point since he is more familiar with the offense, according to offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.
Huddle Up: Smith and Lock should have their competition during training camp and preseason games. Fantasy players should consider the Seahawks quarterback a No. 2 fantasy option no matter which player wins the job.

Seattle Seahawks QB Drew Lock received a glowing review from head coach Pete Carroll. ''The first look at Drew, he's really athletic, he's really a confident athlete, you can see he's got a lot of body control, he's got quick feet, he's got a quick arm, he's got various ways he can release the football as his body's in different positions,'' Carroll said. ''He's got a real knack there. He's got a strong arm, he can throw the ball a mile down the field. He compares to Geno, and Geno Smith has a great arm. He has a world-class arm, and all that. To match up with that, that's saying a lot.'' Carroll also believes Lock would have been the first quarterback off the board if he were in the 2022 NFL draft class.
Huddle Up: Lock, who was acquired in the Russell Wilson trade, will compete for the starting job in Seattle with Geno Smith, but neither are appealing fantasy options. Whoever wins the job will be a QB3.

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock has done some good things in the NFL, but offensive coordinator Justin Outten said he wants to see Lock in the team's new offensive scheme before making any decisions on him.
Huddle Up: Lock received some playing time this past season but probably will be the No. 2 quarterback at best since the team is expected to add a starting quarterback this offseason. He should be avoided in fantasy leagues next season.

Huddle Up: Kansas City comes to town next week, and if Lock once again replaces QB Teddy Bridgewater (concussion), he's of no use to fantasy gamers.

Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock (shoulder) left the Week 17 game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a right shoulder injury and he is in the locker room for treatment. Lock's return is questionable, and he has been replaced by QB Brett Rypien.
Huddle Up: We'll see if Lock is able to return, as he had a chance to do some things about a Chargers D which has been very giving at times. If not, it's Rypien the rest of the way.
