Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold (oblique) will start the NFC Championship Game versus the Los Angeles Rams Sunday, Jan. 25, even though he split reps at quarterback in practice during the week with QB Drew Lock because of a lingering oblique issue. He will receive a pain-killing injection and is likely to throw in the locker room as part of an altered pregame routine that will be similar to his preparation for last week's Divisional Round playoff contest versus the San Francisco 49ers.
Huddle Up: Darnold only attempted short and medium throws during practice this week, in order to save his arm strength for the game, but is feeling better with each passing day, according to head coach Mike Macdonald. He should still be considered a QB1 option in all fantasy leagues as long as he is active.

Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold completed 21-of-24 passes for 330 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders. With a blowout score, he was rested for the second half of the fourth quarter. QB Drew Lock mopped up.
Huddle Up: Jayden Daniels was injured on the drive before, likely with a serious ailment, and head coach Mike Macdonald saw enough. He did not send his starting quarterback in with the game already well decided. Darnold is playing great football, and he and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are on another plane right now. Darnold can be considered a low-end QB1 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 10 and beyond.

New York Giants QB Drew Lock completed 22-of-29 passes for 138 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles, and he ran twice for three yards.
Huddle Up: Lock is likely to return to a backup role in 2025, as he did nothing to impress the Giants or another organization. For fantasy purposes next season, Lock can be ignored in nearly all leagues.

New York Giants QB Drew Lock went 17-for-23 for 309 yards and four touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17.
Huddle Up: Lock entered the game with one passing touchdown this season but was able to find a lot of success against the Colts. He likely will receive the start for the season finale next week but should still be avoided in most leagues.
