Houston Texans PK Matthew Wright was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of the Week 10 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with PK Ka'imi Fairbairn (quadriceps) ailing. CB Damon Arnette was also signed to the active roster from the practice squad, while CB Myles Bryant and OF Sidy Sow were promoted from the practice squad.
Huddle Up: Wright is making his third appearance of the 2025 season, having filled in for the Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans. If you normally rely upon Fairbairn, and you need an emergency replacement, Wright could be a decent short-term alternative.

Houston Texans PK Ka'imi Fairbairn (quadriceps) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 5 due to a right quadriceps injury. He is not expected to play in Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with PK Matthew Wright expected to handle the placeckicking duties.
Huddle Up: Fairbairn is one of the better fantasy options among placekickers, so you'll need to make alternate plans if you normally depend upon him. Wright is not a recommended fill-in option, as there are probably plenty of other regulars available off of your waiver wire.

Houston Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn (lower body injury) is dealing with an injury and his status for Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars is uncertain. The Texans had free agent Matthew Wright in for a visit Tuesday, Nov. 4, and he was added to the practice squad later in the day.
